Not title is no buy
1I can live with the front and back art. Even though they are nowhere near as amazing as they could have been. What I can not live with is the lack of a title anywhere on the steelbook and those extremely ugly face pictures on the spine. I don't get why Disney doesn't just release the steelbook for the European market with the English title Why mess up whole the European market with a title-less steelbook just because a few countries (plenty European countries who do not dub movies) don't use the English title in the cinema? My mother tongue is Dutch, and I just know the English title because we just watch our movies in English, and I want the English title on an expensive steelbook like this!

rubbish cover design
1The final design of the cover is AWFUL. its like some sort of fifth time rerelease from 2019 STOP IT.

Awful Cover Artwork!
1I love the film but I have now cancelled my pre order of the steelbook as the art work on the cover is just appalling.

Remember the J-slip people...
5I agree it's a dull design which is a shame, but remember the title will be on the J-slip everyone, assuming you don't throw it away. I expected this design before it was even revealed; the other SW steelbooks are character faces and look just as dull in my opinion, so as FA's main advertising character was Kylo it was always going to be this way for design continuity. I really wanted the mock artwork Zavvi had with all the colour (I was hopeful for some embossing/debossing as well since it's such a big release), but ultimately this design really shouldn't be a surprise folks.

Shocked
1I'm shocked to see this as the final artwork. I'm definitely not paying 36 euros for this anymore. You can't diminish The Force Awakens to just Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma (!!!). This is not the way to commemorate this movie. It deserves better than that.

Id rather buy 50 copies of AOTC
1This product is awful. Absolutely awful. To take a perfectly good design, change the background and the spine is equivalent of smearing dirt over the Mona Lisa and trying to sell it for 50 Million... To be honest I would rather watch Attack of the Clones every day of my life than buy this... Star Wars fans deserve more than having this sheep **** in their collection.

Must-have Steelbook for the collection
5Come on guys, at least wait until you've got the product before you do a whole review! Personally think the artwork looks great and I love the spine. Something a bit different at least. Either way this is a limited edition and a must-have for any steelbook collection!

I am outraged!!
1I Pre-Ordered this product on 18th of December 2015. And to be honest I am thinking of cancelling my pre order. The artwork on this product is absolutely disgusting, horrible, gag worthy, tacky, horrible and, mainly just looks like a pile of ****. I'm sorry, I thought Zavvi made premium steelbooks. This looks like it was designed by a 5 year old with no sense in design what so ever!! I am absolutely OUTRAGED!! Look at the spine!! It look absolutely awful!!! I could go outside and pick up a dog **** and still be more satisfied than when this piece of garbage arrives at my door. Thank you Zavvi, for ruining what could be fantastic!! :(

Disappointing
1First off - the movie is decent. It pays homage to what made the originals great (some might say to a fault), washes away the filth that the terrible sequels left behind, and sets things up nicely for the new characters to take center stage in the sequels. i can't wait for Ep8! Onto the steelbook... The decision to release the steelbook without a spine title, or a title on the front, defeats the purpose of making a steelbook in the first place in my opinion. Steelbooks are intended as something special for collectors, not for the average consumer (who'll just buy the amaray or digital version). I understand that it keeps manufacturing costs down as the suppliers are able to ship the same 'textless' design to multiple regions... but steelbooks are the 'premium' versions of their amaray partners, therefore compromising them in away way defeats their purpose. Why do the designers think potential buyers will be happy for them to cut corners in manufacturing by removing the titles? To add insult to injury the USA will be getting a version with English text/titles! Further, these new releases do not match the recently released wave of steelbooks for Eps1-6, although I'm sure we'll see another matching set for Eps1-7 in the near future, then Eps1-8, and finally yet another set for Eps1-9. I'd also like to add that the decision to hold back features on initial release - in this case a 3D version - is a betrayal to consumers and the fanbase. The physical media market is already waning in the face of digital media/streaming, and shady business practices like this - which force those who want the best available version to double/triple dip - are made all the more devious by their obvious money-grabbing transparency. Holding back the 3D disc - for a Christmas release just before Rogue One hits theatres I imagine - is an insult to those of us that still like to buy physical media and corporations that engage in such disrespectful practices deserve to see their profits fall. In summation, Disney, I am disappoint.
