From celebrated Spanish director Juan Piquer Simón, the man behind the truly demented slasher flick Pieces (1982), comes a terrifying tale of mutant slugs on the rampage in small-town America. The townsfolk of a rural community are dying in strange and gruesome circumstances. Following the trail of horrifically mutilated cadavers, resident health inspector Mike Brady is on the case to piece together the mystery.
He soon comes to a terrifying conclusion giant slugs are breeding in the sewers beneath the town, and they re making a meal of the locals! Based on the novel by acclaimed British horror author Shaun Hutson, Slugs outdoes its creature feature peers by adding an extra dose of gross-out gore into the equation, culminating in one of the most squirm-inducing animal attack movies ever to slither its way across screens.

Slugs Has Become One of My Favourites
Big fan of Arrow releases, they do excellent work and put a ton of love into their releases. I had heard of this but only watched it for the the first a time a few months ago. It drips(and oozes) with 80's atmosphere and cheesy horror goodness! The special effects were impressive aswell. I was surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Picked it up during an Arrow sale after my first view. Highly recommended if you're a fan of such things!!! Zavvi shipped it quickly and safely to Canada as always.

Great Arrow Release
As always I will review the product not the film as taste is subjective (although, I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this film, great silly horror fun). The Blu-ray presentation as always with Arrow is great with a really nice transfer, it could have been shot yesterday. The sound also is transferred well given the options available on these video nasties. Plenty of extras as always. You are either considering this because you are a fan of the film or a Blu-ray collector, and I'm sure both those categories will be happy with this purchase. Killer slugs, brilliant :D
