PART MAN, PART MACHINE, ALL COP
RoboCop, from Orion Pictures, marked director Paul Verhoeven’s (Flesh + Blood) Hollywood debut and instantly became an enduring sci-fi/action classic when it landed in theaters in the summer of 1987. Verhoeven’s peerlessly exciting and kinetic visuals were matched by a sharp script, iconic cast and exceptional special effects by Rob Bottin (The Thing) and Phil Tippett (The Empire Strikes Back).
The film takes place in Detroit in the not-too-distant future. Heroic cop Alex Murphy (Peter Weller, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai) is gunned down in the line of duty, only to be resurrected as RoboCop – a cybernetic mix of spare human parts and Motor City steel, and the latest defense against crime designed by the all-powerful OCP Corporation. As RoboCop’s memories of his former life as Murphy resurface, only his ex-partner (Nancy Allen, Dressed To Kill) stands beside him to fight against the vicious thugs responsible for his death, as well as a nefarious top-level OCP executive orchestrating the chaos from above.
Unsurpassably thrilling, unexpectedly moving and unforgettably hilarious in equal measure, the future of law enforcement is back in a definitive Blu-ray™ presentation packed with hours of brand new bonus features.

ROBOCOP - STEELBOOK
Nicely designed for front and back cover of the steelbook, awesome movie quality for a 80s movie on blu ray! A bit shocked that only wrapped with a layer of bubble wrap in a cardboard envelope to be sent internationly, lucky it arrived safe with a little damaged on the envelope but not the item itself. Thank you Zavvi for letting me acquired my childhood favorite movie in an awesome steelbook!

Robocop steelbook superb
An outstanding Blu-Ray transfer of an iconic, prescient film. The steelbook Art is gorgeous; the extras fantastic. This is well worth having in any serious collection, and Zavvi as usual offers it at a very reasonable price.

Excellent
The steelbook looks great, and I love the fact that they used the original poster! If there is one thing you can always count on with Zavvi its their excellent packaging, unlike many other sellers they always use cardboard packaging, which is something I really appreciate.

Back to my youth....
Another excellent steel book for the collectors among you, when Robocop came out it was considered to be over the top with the violence, this version has the additional minutes that were cut restored so you can experience in full Paul Verhoeven's vision. The steel book itself is really well made with excellent artwork both outside and in.

Your move... creep
It can be a pain sometimes to double dip on films, especially special editions, yet this is my third special edition of Robocop, starting with the rare uncut DVD from the early 2000’s. I have a Robocop steelbook already, but this Arrow version, like many of Arrows other releases like Waterworld and Candyman make this a worthwhile upgrade, definitely worth the purchase.

Perfect!
Considering this film first came out in 1987, it really has stood the test of time. It’s a movie any action genre fan should have on their shelf, and the steelbook makes it that extra bit special. I really love the Zavvi exclusive steelbooks.
