One of the most celebrated, outrageous and original horror films of all time, Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator is a darkly comic tale that 'upped the 80's gore ante at a time when blood was already flowing freely' (Total Film).
Brilliant, if somewhat deranged, medical student Herbert West arrives at Miskatonic Medical school and immediately sneers at his professor's outdated views of death. West has his own outlandish theories and has concocted a serum that will bring the dead back to life. Roping in fellow student Dan Cain their shocking experiments work all too well with horrific and very messy results.

Re-Animator Steelbook
Second Sight's two-disc Blu-ray release of Re-Animator is excellent. The unrated cut included is based off of a new 4k scan of the feature and is easily the best the film has ever looked. Also included are plenty of extras and an exclusive cut of the film. All in all a great purchase whether or not you already own the film on Blu-ray.

Re-Animator - Limited Edition Steelbook
Brilliant blu-ray of an all-time schlock classic! Jeffrey Coombs takes the acting honours with his manic portrayal of the stereotypical mad scientist and the gore effects are still mightily impressive considering that this was made in the pre-cgi era. An essential purchase for all horror buffs!

Must own version of this horror classic.
Re-Animator is one of my favorite horror movies. This is one of the rare examples where the combination of horror and (dark) humor actually work. This gorgeous steelbook edition has both the unrated and integral version of the movie. Picture and sound are as great as can be, concidering the age of the movie. This blu-ray also comes with some great special features. One of my favorites has got to be the audio commentary with the producer and cast. This has got to be one of the funniest commentaries ever. This one definitely belongs in the collection of every horror fan.
