A Nightmare on Elm Street
Witness the birth of slasher horror in this digitally remastered masterpiece of Wes Craven's "Nightmare On Elm Street". The malevolent Fred Krueger (Robert Englund) was a vicious child murderer, until he was burnt alive in his own boiler room by the local parents. They thought this was the end of his reign of terror; now it looks like the young teens of Elm Street will have to pay the price as he picks them off one by one in their dreams.
In grotesque and bone chilling surrealism that brings forth a legendary titan in horror film history, no film collection is complete without this installment of fantasy horror, as Wes Craven leaves you begging for more of the maniac known only as Fred Kruger. From 1984 to present day, this film is held above others as a true horror classic.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
Five years have passed since Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was sent howling back to hell. But now, a new kid on Elm Street is being haunted every night by gruesome visions of the deadly dream stalker. And if his twisted soul takes possession of the boy's body, Freddy will return from the dead to wreak bloody murder and mayhem upon the entire town. When A Nightmare On Elm Street made a killing, horror fans shrieked for more. Soon the diabolical Freddy was resurrected with a vengeance along with some of the most terrifying special effects ever to spatter the screen. Look for Robert Englund (minus his Freddy face) in the opening sequence. He's a real scream.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Born the bastard son of a thousand maniacs, demented killer Freddy Krueger is back for fresh victims in this hallucinatory shocker co-written by original creator Wes Craven (Scream 1, 2 and 3).The last of the Elm Street kids are now at a psychiatric ward where Freddy haunts their dreams with unspeakable horrors. Their only hope is dream researcher and fellow survivor Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of the original Nightmare), who helps them battle the supernatural psycho on his own hellish turf.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Proving there's no rest for the wicked, the unspeakably evil and diabolically hilarious Freddy Kruger is again resurrected from the grave to wreak havoc upon those who dare to dream. But this time he faces a powerful new adversary!
When Freddy finally dispatches of the last of the elm street children, he uses the dreams of a mousy day-dreamer named Alice (Lisa Wilcox) to bring himself more victims. But Alice has a few surprises in store for Freddy. With every teen he uses her to kill, she grows increasingly more powerful. Now it's time for the ultimate showdown to find out, once and for all, who the real Dream Master is.
Directed by Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Deep Blue Sea) and loaded with killer special effects and drop-dead humour, this is a 'superior horror picture that balances wit and gore with imagination and intelligence' (Los Angeles Times).
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
Freddy Krueger returns to deliver a whole new breed of terror in this most fiendishly perverse fright fest yet!
Unable to overpower the Dream Master who vanquished him in A Nightmare On Elm Street 4, Freddy haunts the innocent dreams of her unborn child and preys upon her friends with sheer horror. Will the child be saved from becoming Freddy's newest weapon or will the maniac again resurrect his legacy of evil?
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Just when you thought it was safe to go to sleep. Freddy Kruger (Robert Englund) is back to haunt your dreams and freeze your blood!
Lisa Zane (Bad Influence) is a child psychologist tormented by recurring nightmares. But not until she meets a new patient with the same horrific dreams does her quest for answers lead to a certain house on Elm Street - where an evil that defies the grave is about to be unleashed upon the world.
With Yaphet Kotto (TV's Homicide, Alien) and cameos by Roseanne, Tom Arnold, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp (who made his feature film debut in the first Nightmare), this chapter in the world's most terrifying dream saga is a "fantastic voyage!".
New Nightmare
Winner of a Golden Scroll of Outstanding Achievement from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror, this spine-tingling tale reunites original Nightmare stars Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon as "reel" Freddy invades the real world with deadly results.
Life imitated art during filming. Soon after shooting an earthquake sequence, the "Northridge Quake" shook Los Angeles. Says Craven, "We were about to have rubble created for the movie, but instead, we were able to just go out and film from the streets." But don't worry, Freddy fans. It's only a movie...or is it?

Great compilation
Does what it says on the tin: gives you the films and the extras. Seen better packaging but for the price point, it’s absolutely fine.

#
It's a great collection of a classic film series, with plenty of laughs and a few creepy scenes, and I love the practical effects.

Good little collection
Personally, not a huge fan of these films but my partner is. Brought this collection to replace the dated DVDs that she had and she has binged through. The cost was good considering how many movies you get in this collection. It's a shame that the discs themselves aren't a little better designed; bright red with the tiniest number to identify which number in the series... only let down i feel. Definitely a must buy for anyone who enjoys the Freddy series.

Cheap boxset
Such a cheap boxset. 7 films, not all of them great sequels, but still, worth the price. The first film is such a classic, with amazing extras!
