Monster House Blu-ray
This Monster House Blu-ray is such a great film! I've gave it five stars for the great humour and story.

Overlooked excellent children's film
I had never even heard of this film until last year. For a CGI animation, especially a children's film; it's remarkably well-made. The writing, plot, art direction and camerawork itself is all very, very good. The monster house animation has that wonderful stop-motion feel, emphasised by the crooked lines of the structure; giving it that 'Nightmare before Christmas' feel. The plot and characters seems very formulaic, but the writing and story progression keep you really interested in the film the whole way through. A kid's tale that is charming, scary and a fun adventure? This one's definitely worth your time and a few bucks. The CG is akin to The Incredibles, if it were just set in the town. Nothing spectacular, but more than enough to get the story across. If that doesn't sell you, there's an old coot living in the monster house, who yells at kids to keep off his lawn! What more could you ask for! Zavvi are selling this at a fantastic price; I'd highly recommend picking it up!
