Top contender for steelbook of the year!
Alas, I have finally received my steelbook today, in pristine condition, and it is clearly one of the best I have in my collection! If all steelbooks would feature thislevel of design and quality, the hobby would be way more fun.This is an absolute winner release and a must have for every steelbook collection!! The movie itself is good and Angelina Jolie is fun to watch, but it is clearly the steelbook that is great here ;)

Instant classic
Movie is a great twist to the Sleeping Beauty story and adds great insight into the classic villain Malificent. Steelbook looks great and sleek with the embossing and gloss. Back could've used artwork though.

If you're looking for a villain, look elsewhere!
Maleficent has been my favorite character for as long as I can remember. Sleeping Beauty was my favorite princess story, but i loved the way the cartoon Maleficent presented herself. I loved that she had a pet crow that she talked to and could pet and I really loved how her one "gift" changed the lives of an entire kingdom. When I heard they were doing the backstory for Maleficent with Angelina Jolie - I was cautious, because the last "backstory" that Disney did was for The Great and Powerful Oz and I really disliked that story. I went into it unsure of what I would find and while the movie is entertaining and beautiful to watch and Angelina gives an amazing performance - it's not the Maleficent I grew up loving. It's definitely easier to watch this and treat it as a completely different story instead of the backstory to the cartoon I grew up loving. The effects are astounding - every time Diaval turns into a different creature you can still see the presence of his feathers! The background creatures are just as real-seeming as the ones that are close up. Overall it is a great movie, just not the one I wanted to see.

Not only is the movie great, but Zavvi have given us a fantastic, high-quality, limited steelbook A++ all the way for this release.

great movie, disappointed by zavvi's image of steelbook
well the movie is quite good, sleeping beauty story told as never before quite a good family movie what i was disappointed was the steelbook i got, it was black instead of the white steelbook advertisted by zavvi. i know the suppliers might have changed the final artwork etc but zavvi never let it's customers acknowledge this until i got mine.

The best steelbook I own!
I'm so glad I checked for this steelbook to come back in stock daily. I know some people were disappointed that it wasn't the White version pictured on the site but the moment I saw the Spanish version I wanted the black version more. The attention to detail is incredible. I love the eyes changing colour to that fierce colour you see in the film! Worth every penny!

Wonderful steelbook and a film which challenges views on fairy tales
Angelina Jolie in the role that she was made for. A great deal has been written about the film, so I can only concur that the film is a definite watch, showcasing as it does UK talent! The steelbook packaging is very subtle for disney and I think is the better for it, with the focus on Maleficent. My one criticism is that for a high price steelbook it might have been more spectacular..but in someways it does set the scene for the film
