LOTR Trilogy Extended edtn Bluray
5The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Extended Limited Edition has excellent picture quality that's way beyond the DVD set, and the audio quality is superb. My only moan is that each movie is set over two Blu-ray discs, meaning you have to break from watching it and put the part 2 disc in. However, as each part is around 2 hours long it is probably better for you to get up and move around before settling down again for part 2. As for the extras, there's 9 DVDs worth. I have barely started going through those, but as I think they are the same as the DVD collection I won't be watching everything again! It's a great box set with cool packaging. It's highly recommended.

The box's presentation is everything you would expect from a limited edition movie box set. The movie and all its extras is cast upon over 15 discs of pure entertainment, which you won't want to miss out on.

5This Blu-ray transfer is top notch, the extended editions are a must watch also the huge amount adds extra footage that definitely adds to the LOTR experience. It fleshes the characters out and much more fully explains the story. Even with the sheer amount of added scenes the movies actually flow a lot better and the pacing feels much improved. Also I can't fault zavvi, they were the cheapest I could find and the postage was extremely swift. Also give all the appendices and making of LOTR a watch as its actually tremendous how much work went into these movies. All the commentaries are worth a listen too.
