With a cast including Shadow of a Doubt veteran Hume Cronyn and the extraordinary, irrepressible Tallulah Bankhead, this 'picture of characters', as François Truffaut aptly termed the film, oscillates dazzlingly between comic repartée and white-knuckle suspense - a perfect example of 'the Hitchcock touch'.

Worth a watch
Not one of Hitchcock’s best films but still worth watching for fans. It’s a unique concept but the execution is a little flawed. I still enjoyed it. Eureka’s technical presentation is very good.

If you like Hitchcock...
Good movie. Not as good as Dial M for Murder ou Rope, but along those lines. Comes packed with a nice booklet and probably looks the best it’s ever gonna look.
