One of Luc Besson's most incredible movies, Leon, has been restored to stunning 4K and is being released in this 25th anniversary limited edition. Visually stylish and graphically violent, this intensely emotional film contains career defining performances and stands up as one of the top action- thrillers of all time whilst offering great depth and substance to the tragic multi-layered heroes. Léon (Jean Reno), who lives down the hall, tends to his houseplants and works as a hired hitman for mobster Tony (Danny Aiello). When her family is murdered by crooked DEA agent Stansfield (Gary Oldman), Mathilda joins forces with a reluctant Leon to learn his deadly trade and avenge her family's deaths.

This is from Matilda
Another Luc Besson cult classic finally arrived in 4K. The movie transfer and sound are great and worth the price alone. The steelbook itself is surprisingly bright and colourful in a high gloss finish. The artwork looks almost animated on closer view but it’s not maybe due to the bright image nature. A great movie and early role for Natalie Portman who wishes to become like her hitman best friend Leon.

Immaculate!
For me one of the greatest ever movies gets the treatment it deserves in this León Director's Cut edition. The artwork and colour selection is mere perfection and couldn't have been executed in a more supreme manner. A matt finish which adds to the quality and even the back of the steelbook cover has León's treasured plant which he cares for so much. In other words, the steelbook is immaculate! The movie print is excellent which is a breath of fresh air considering how some movies are restored into high definition formats from old and the sound has also been given the treatment it deserves. All in all you are literally purchasing movie history here in a limited package that is surely going to become a a very rare collector's movie paradise in the future.

A beautiful edition
I upgraded my DVD of Leon with this stunning bluray. A classic film with some great performances, now with some beautiful artwork. It's almost a realistic take on anime (reminds me of the Alita Battle Angel) effects. A great edition to my ever growing collection
