MARVELLOUS 3rd Dimension
I’m fortunate enough to have a dedicated home cinema and have come to appreciate the benefits of 3D Blu-ray. It takes some sleuthing to find what titles are worthy of the 3D upgrade, some conversations just look rubbish, but on the whole anything from Marvel or a Star Wars title is worth picking up. An even better home theatre experience than 4K, IMO!

Iron Man 3D
I saw Iron Man 3D in the cinema, in 3D, can't say I was impressed with the 3D. Any fast motion looked blurred, leading to you not being able to follow the action on screen. I bought the 3D Blu-ray (I haven't got a 3D TV, but one day), and watched the 2D version, this I enjoyed more. Don't think its the best in the trilogy, but not the worst.

Perfecly complimented by 3D
Iron Man 3 3D is a fresh story that expands Stark's character in both its strengths and its failings. As for the 3D, this isn't a film that pushes many 3D effects in your face, but when it does, it does it very well.

Underwhelming
After the kinetic ride that was the avengers this feels surprisingly dull by comparison, the actual "iron man" is nowhere to be seen for 95% of the film, what storyline there is feels rushed and the finale is like watching a video game. It is acted well throughout and Downey junior is still the charismatic lead its just very hard to sympathies. I was looking forward to a film that hit the heights of the first instalment, and with the loss of the suit this appears to be what they re aiming for, but it just doesn't completely work...
