When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. This family are worth your time
I bought Instant Family on a whim after seeing a clip on YouTube. I thought it was going to be a fairly broad comedy but it's actually more of a sentimental comedy-drama, and none the worse for that. Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne are likeable as the foster couple and the three kids are terrific. It's a heartwarming and often funny story about the difficulties they face together. The Blu-Ray has excellent picture and sound quality. Just don't expect the dog on the cover to be in the film much!
