Stunning Steelbook
5By now everyone knows that this is a very average film. Some cheesy acting from Cage and a story that doesn't flow as well as should, but an entertaining film nonetheless. The steelbook, however, is a completely different story. The artwork on this is spot on and captures the more comic book style of the character. The vibrant colours of Ghost Rider and his motorcycle really pop against the dark backdrop and this is made all the more impressive by the flames having been given a shiny effect, something that I haven't seen on many other steelbooks. The rear of the steelbook is equally impressive, but in contrast to the front, is very bright, showing the current Ghost Rider with one from the past. Again, the flames have been given a nice shiny treatment to make them stand out. An excellent choice of art from the film. This steelbook really surprised me as I wasn't expecting much from it, but it is one of my favourites of my recent pickups and strongly recommend it whether you're a fan of the film or just a collector of steels.

Ghost Rider Steelbook
4I already had this film on BD but I like special editions and most of my other Marvel films are Steelbook versions or have an outer sleeve. As soon as I saw Zavvi were doing this Steelbook I was on it. It's a pretty cool film and I saw it in the cinema. If Zavvi do the 2nd Ghost Rider film in a Steelbook I'll getting that too to keep the trend going. This Steelbook is really complimentary to the film itself. The cover of the regular amaray case version doesn't do the film justice. Ghost Rider see a death defying stunt rider get himself into debt with a certain Devil who want to take his soul if the debt is not payed. Johnny Blaze is cursed with the ability to ride at night with his own personal light in the he becomes a flaming skeleton on a rally cool looking Chopper bike. Follow Johnny Blaze on his quest to clear his name with the devil while trying to hide the curse from a beautiful woman (who alone is worth watching the movie for) and enjoy the ride.

Ghost Rider steelbook
4Well the Ghosr Rider steelbook review is basically of two halves: The film and the actually steelbook. The film is enjoyable enough mainly for its special effects rendering of the ghost rider character and his motorcycle. Although for old school Marvel fans it detours away from the origins as the image of a young ghost rider is lost with Nicholas Cage hemming the lead. Cage is a competent lead in many action flicks with good delivery of dialog. The villians offer good fight sequences and its on the whole an enjoyable film. The steelbook itself is immaculate and features the classic ghost rider image on the front and a great marvel style image on the rear of two riders!

5The steelbook case looks fantastic and I love the film anyway, saw it at the cinema. I will continue to purchase steelbooks from Zavvi, I'm always impressed

Another MARVELous Release
4Another MARVEL back catalogue film repackaged in steelbook that continues to fuel the addiction. Nice artwork and embossing that sits well in with the other recent releases (DareDevil, Elektra, Punisher) in my collection.
