Baker's Dozen
Another superb looking boxset. My original intention was to buy only the Jon Pertwee & Tom Baker set's but I always loved Colin Baker's Doctor (not the technicolour dreamcoat though) & found it futile to resist them. If only the BBC still made a real sci-fi Doctor Who show.

Great but very under-rated season
This is the first season to Colin's very under rated Sixth Doctor. While the stories can be a little uneven in feel as you watch through in order, one thing is constant and that is the way Colin and Nicola Bryant as Peri shine through the material and develop a genuine friendship despite the bickering the writers felt needed to be added. Colin's Doctor does have a few moments that feel at odds with the character as we knew it then, especially following Peter Davison's incarnation but looking back feels like a breathe of fresh air to bring out otherwise overlooked aspects of the character. Often criticized for the levels of violence shown, there are moments that feel unnecessary in the way they are realised on screen but the Doctor has never shied from being violent in a situation if the situation requires it. Sometimes controversial but always enjoyable this season is a must have and the wealth of extras on this box set definitely make one of the best releases so far in the collection.

Season 22
Delivered on time by Zavvi. A great box set with brilliant set of extras. Made me really enjoy the Sixth doctor’s era.

Doctor Who Season 22 Set
Not the best season of 'Who' by some measure, with poor scripts (worse script editing) and endless bickering TARDIS scenes (even more in the deleted scenes) but these sets make the weakest season unmissable. We are really spoiled with the work that goes into these, and the limited packaging makes them look gorgeous. While not even new digital effects can make the figurative silk purse out of 'Timelash', at least the tinsel is now hidden. Five stars for restoration, presentation and extras if not for the stories themselves.
