Bavalicious
Arrows treatment of Bava's 1985 bonkers, Italian horror Demons is simply amazing. I had wanted to upgrade to Blu from my DVD set of both Demons and Demons 2 and i had heard mixed reviews of the Synapse release from the US. I have to say that i am very pleased, i bought both on Blu on Zavvi in their 2 for €15 deal and you can't get much better than that. The movies look grat and there are tons of extras to keep me busy. There is also a DVD copy contained although i think it was only advertised as being 1 disc. If you are still using DVD's then these dual format releases are a great idea so that if you do make the switch in the future you do not have to upgrade your disc too. I love 80's Horror movies, American and Italian for different reasons. This is a great example of an 80's Italian horror movie and if you have not seen any before it is a great place to start. Dont worry too much about the plot, its just people trapped in a cinema with 'Demons'The real enjoyment for me comes from the gore, the madness, the soundtrack, the special effects and the overall atmosphere. Pick them up if they are still available on that great deal. Have a few drinks, break out the snacks, turn of the lights and enjoy the ensuing mayhem.
