The lawless era in Deadwood is coming to an end. As the town's first elections approach, it becomes apparent that, like it or not, civilization is on its way. But a civilized town is not necessarily a peaceful town, and the power struggles that determine the fate of Deadwood have never been more brutal. A ruthless newcomer, businessman George Hearst, threatens to reshape the town in his own image, forcing Deadwood's settlers - including the steadfast lawman Seth Bullock and the cutthroat saloon owner Al Swearengen - to form strategic alliances if they expect to thrive, and survive. While bloody conflicts change the face and fate of the town, the citizens of Deadwood come to the harsh realization... some fortunes are better left unclaimed.

Audio is echooo
What can i say about Deadwood, it is one of the best series to ever been on TV and was cut short, no one know why as the series was going strong few out its 3 seasons, but at lest we get to enjoy them on blu ray finally...or do we. The Picture is super, the audio is not. Now and then you get a really bad echo on the episodes which you can notice and was in fact giving my a little bit of a headache to listen to. To top this off, there no extras with the box set too and the set is a cheaply made box which can with a bit inside broken. :( A series that was so enjoyable to watch and help to set a high bar for TV shows, doesn't get the respect it should have with this blu ray release. If you have a muti-region dvd player, i hear the US version which as no faults and lots of extras seems worth getting, which i will be looking for now. Also i hate how US companies don't respect its customers overseas. Its like if its not in the USA, who cares, just give them any old rubbish, they should be happy we even think of doing that for them!

DEADGOOD
Deadwood = Deadgood! Loved this when it was on TV ages ago. I did buy the DVD box set but when I saw this I just had to add to my collection. A warning though; not for kids as there's a bit of bad language. Great buy!

Deadwood - The Complete Collection - Zavvi Exclusive
"Welcome to Deadwood... Can be combative." The long overdue Region 2 release on Blu Ray of one of the finest, most brilliantly scripted TV series of all-time. Every member of the huge ensemble cast gives a career best performance, in a drama that is in equal parts deep, dark, poetic and funny. A true revisionist western. The fact it never got to go out on its own terms with a fourth and final season is one of the biggest travesties in modern entertainment. But the three seasons we did get still stand as one of the true highlights of the Golden Age of TV, alongside The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire, et al. This is a no-nonsense box set, brilliantly priced.
