Back to the Future:
The future for 17-year-old Marty McFly is not shaping up well. His family is dysfunctional, his schoolteacher, Mr Strickland, is out to get him, his music is just too loud and the rest of the world doesn't care. Only with his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker and local eccentric scientist, Dr Emmet Brown does he find the encouragement and excitement he needs. Never in time for his classes or his dinner, one day Marty wasn't in his time at all but having the time of his life. But what time is it? Marty got home early last night - 30 years early. One of the not-so-crazy scientist's experiment went slightly wrong and Marty was caught up in it to find himself at the wheel of a DeLorean car - converted into a time machine. It roars back to 1955 where he meets his parents when they were his age and sets out to make a man out of his dim-wit father.

Great for collectors
"Back to the Future" is one of the undying popculture classics. This release pack all three films pluss the new bonus disc in a very nice looking steelbook with a little bit silly artwork but very nice none the less. The picture quality will likely never be much better than this. Back to the Future was always grainy and dirty looking, as it has a lot of old school optical special effects and were shot on a very limited budget. The sequals look a bit better as the budget shot in the air after the success of the first film. This set contains all three films in the best sound and picture quality ever on home-video, and it also includes pretty much all extras awailable on the films, all contained in a special edition steelbook. What more can one ask for?

Poor quality
Not sure how many of these were made, but I'm sure 1000 sold out on first day. Poor quality steelbook, Hmv exclusives so much better.

Great Scott...
Amazing steelbook for a great film, this is a beautiful steelbook, heavy duty with an amazing artwork in front of steel, the only thing bothering me about it is that Marty McFly doesn't have the Camcorder like in the movie... The artist messed up, details is what separates Great steelbooks from amazing steelbook. Other than that everything else is great...Good job Zavvi.

Films as good as ever, extras reasonable
The films are always good, nice and crisp on the blu ray format. I chose the 30th anniversary edition as it comes with some new extras. Some of the new additions are terrible cashing but there is gold to be found too so still worth it in my opinion. Live the exclusive steelbook packaging, looks great on the shelf and feels great to open. Would recommend for die hard fans, those not quite so passionate would probably be happy with a cheaper edition
