A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures is an epic global adventure story, an animated family feature made spectacularly real by eye-popping 3D. This Blu-ray includes both 2D and 3D versions.
A young sea-turtle's romantic quest for his first, lost love, a fellow hatchling, born on the same Californian beach, takes him on a marathon voyage across the seven seas, to the furthest corners of the earth. In a world under increasing threat from environmental pollution, where the oceans are a battleground between the forces of nature and mankind, can Sammy the sea-turtle complete his dangerous 50-year mission and find his soul mate Shelly and the happiness they deserve? The thrills and comical spills are brought to the screen by director Ben Stassen (Fly Me To The Moon) with the help of a top-class British voice cast, starring Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia), Gemma Arterton (St Trinian's, Clash of The Titans), John Hurt (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Kayvan Novak (Four Lions, Fonejacker) and Robert Sheehan (Misfits).
Please note that a 3D television is required in order to view A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures Blu-ray in stereoscopic 3D, and that stereoscopic 3D glasses are not included.

A Turtle's Tale = Outstanding 3D and Okay Movie
Incredible 3D with countless pop-outs. However, the movie was just okay. I didn't like the way this film made human beings out to be the enemy. But darn, that 3D was just incredible.

At Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures.
Let me start by saying that I purchased A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures to experience fantastic 3D as expressed by other viewers. They were correct, it's probably some of the best 3D I have seen. As for the movie itself, I would have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It probably lost its way towards the end slightly, but it had a lot of environmental messages and was entertaining.

Excellent 3D movie for Kids
I bought a A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures for my 5 year old grand-daughter to use on her new 3D television and player that we have bought her. My wife and I started watching it (just to check the quality of course) and ended up getting fully into it. The underwater coral scenes are absolutely stunning, it's almost as if you are in an aquarium with the fish. The story though simple is really well done and does have an ecological theme to it. It really is well worth the money and an excellent example of the new 3D technology.
