THE FUTURE IS HISTORY
Following the commercial and critical success of The Fisher King, Terry Gilliam's next feature would turn to science fiction and a screenplay by Janet and David Peoples (Blade Runner, Unforgiven) inspired by Chris Marker's classic short film La Jetée.
In 1996, a deadly virus is unleashed by a group calling themselves the Army of the Twelve Monkeys, destroying much of the world's population and forcing survivors underground. In 2035, prisoner James Cole (Bruce Willis, Die Hard) is chosen to go back in time and help scientists in their search for a cure.
Featuring an Oscar-nominated turn by Brad Pitt (Fight Club) as mental patient Jeffrey Goines, Twelve Monkeys would become Gilliam's most successful film and is now widely regarded as a sci-fi classic.

The 1995 classic 12 monkeys set in a future where mankind is ravaged by a man made pandemic! Sounds familiar! A convict is sent from the future back in to the past to find the source of the pandemic to try alter the future & save man kind! A great sci -fi which no collection should be with ou!

Dark sci-fi classic
Gilliam artfully plants little seeds throughout the journey of this sleazy, sinister and weird post apocalyptic world that are often missed, therefore, a must have movie within the steelbook collection to re-watch in order to connect the haunting truth. A little disappointed with the artwork on this one.

Most horrible artwork ever
Congratulations Zavvi, you really have the capability to produce the most horrible artwork on steel books out there. Maybe you have a purpose I don't know, but I think for such somehow iconic movie the steel book has not sold out, and I'm sure is due to the amazing steel book artwork :))) or is to match the overrated movie. Is clear that zavvi don't really put an effort to satisfy collectors. This is obvious!

Quality Film, Quality Steelbook
An already excellent film finally gets the steelbook it deserves. 12 Monkeys is classic sci-fi with a career best performance from Bruce Willis. The film has taken on even more importance due to current events world wide. Great service from Zavvi as usual. Highly recommended.

Could it BE any more ugly??
So much to do with this iconic film, this artwork is awful, it makes no sense. I will enjoy my previous steelbook edition any more now. Not even 4K anyway.
