With each episode we get closer to unravelling the secrets of the show, which includes who exactly is actor Kathryn Hahn's mysterious nosy neighbour Agnes - a puzzle to solve ever since we caught a glimpse of her in the trailer.
Clues have been dropped throughout the episodes as to Agnes' true identity, which the majority of fans are theorising is Agatha Harkness, a very powerful character from the comics.
But who is Agatha Harkness? What clues are there that Agnes is Agatha? And if she is Agatha, what could this mean for the show? Let's break it down.
Who Is Agatha Harkness?
Agatha Harkness has a very long and very complicated history in the comic books, but the essentials are that she is a very powerful witch who has an interesting relationship with Scarlet Witch (a.k.a. Wanda Maximoff).
As her mentor Agatha showed Wanda how to use her powers effectively, making her become an increasingly powerful superhero.
However, their relationship soon turned sour with Agatha wiping Wanda's memory of the two children she had with Vision: Tommy and Billy.
The twins were absorbed by the villain Mephisto which of course made Wanda very unhappy, and with Agnes recognising danger therefore could lie ahead, she took action.
Whilst there was harmony for some time with Agatha continuing as Wanda's mentor, soon enough the truth was uncovered resulting in Scarlet Witch murdering her teacher.
Of course Agatha would later come back to life as no one is really dead in comic books!
What Clues Are There That Agnes Is Agatha?
Throughout the show so far there have been several hints that Hahn's Agnes is really Agatha.
Firstly, there are the similarities between the two names - AGatha harkNESs - with 'Agnes' almost acting like a shortened version, or an easy nickname which will help disguise her true identity.
A key visual clue meanwhile is that in the trailer for the upcoming Halloween themed episode, Agnes is wearing a witch costume. Whilst that of course could be put there as a red herring, maybe Agatha is just having some fun with it.

There is also the fact that the jewellery Agnes wears is very similar to the collar Agatha regularly sports in her comic book appearances.
Also Agnes clearly has an agenda, as seen in the third episode where she plays coy with Vision and makes him question the reality he is present in, but also who Geraldine is (a.k.a. Monia Rambeau).
Of course in addition to the above, there is the case of Agnes' husband Ralph who keeps getting a mention but is yet to be glimpsed. Maybe he is another Marvel Comics character? We certainly have a theory about that...
And finally, in the most recent episode which gave us a look at what is happening outside of Westview, S.W.O.R.D. have started to identify who the characters in the town are, matching them up to their real names and identities.
One person who they haven't been able to match to a citizen yet is Agnes, giving the impression she isn't from Westview at all, which would certainly be the case if she is Agatha.
What Has Hahn Said About This?
Actor Hahn is fully aware of the speculation amongst fans but is keeping her cards close to her chest.
Speaking to TVLine about Agnes, Hahn said whilst she couldn't confirm or deny theories, she promised that there are reveals to come.
Hahn teased: "I can safely say that there are so many levels of surprises, and so many layers, that people will not see coming. I am just so excited for fans — and people that are new to this world — to go on the ride. It’s just a real, multi-level trip, and I’m so excited for people to go on the journey."
What Could This Mean For The Show?
Since the theory that Agnes is really Agatha Harkness is right now just that, a theory, we can only speculate as to what it could mean for the show.
Due to the rocky relationship between Wanda and Agatha in the comics, her presence in the show could have either a positive or negative impact, but right now with no sign of another villain and Agnes rocking the boat in episode three, we would guess maybe the latter.
As we noted earlier, in the comics Agatha wiped Wanda's memory of a traumatic event to protect both her and the world due to the raw power Scarlet Witch has.
Maybe this is the case in the show too, but this time the traumatic event is the death of Vision, and the way she is protecting her is by helping create this reality.
Only time will tell as Marvel will soon reveal the show's secrets, but for now it is rather fun speculating and we can't wait to see what Agnes has in store later on.
