With fans eagerly anticipating details of the new, beefed up Xbox One since E3 last year, they've finally let slip the details over on Eurogamer's Digital Foundry blog. Microsoft's new gamble gives us an incredibly powerful console, that seems to be even more powerful than Sony's Playstation 4 Pro. We've got all the new Xbox One Scorpio details right here.

The Xbox One Scorpio will have 6 Teraflops of graphical power, in comparison to the PS4 Pro's 4.2 Teraflops. This makes the Xbox One Scorpio the most powerful console ever created. You'll be able to supersample your games in 1080p or drive the console to render in an even higher resolution at 4K. The console will also have 12GB of GDDR5 Memory- that's faster than most computers. Roughly, the graphics on the hardware will be comparable to an NVIDIA GTX 1070, though there will be some differences between that standard GPU and the custom chip. Here's a full spec-list.
Xbox Scorpio Speclist
CPU: Eight Custom x86 cores running at 2.3GHx GPU: 40 Customised compute units at 1172MHz Memory: 12GB GDDR5 Memory Bandwidth: 326GB/s. Hard Drive: 1TB 2.5" Optical Drive: 4K UHD Blu-Ray
Wow, that's pretty beefy. Microsoft has succeeded in creating a console which can handily render games at 4K, but its hardware design and lineup of games have yet to be determined. It's unclear whether or not older titles will automatically be compatible with Scorpio, but if the PS4 Pro is anything to go by, it might need some time for all of the details to come out about this ridiculously powerful games console. It's also unclear whether or not the Scorpio will also be running on the same sort of system architecture as the original Xbox One, but this is a huge leap forward in power and is a step towards the next generation of gaming.
