Today has been a big day for upcoming film releases in 2017, with both the Logan trailer and the Power Rangers trailer having just been released. These two highly anticipated films have their own unique feel and look to them that fans of each franchise will love. These 'Darker' versions of each franchise seem to be a Hollywood trend, for those of you who like to keep track of them, we've linked them down below!
LOGAN
Logan shows us a different side to X-Men's Wolverine, and seemingly closely follows the comic book 'Old Man Logan' which ran for eight issues, having been written by comic-book stalwart Mark Millar. This screen adaptation follows Logan as he cares for Laura Kinney, known to many fans as X-23. From the trailers we've seen so far, this seems to be a more down-to-earth look at the world of the X-Men than anything else that we've seen before. With X-Men: Apocalypse's bombast and huge set-pieces, Logan looks to be the complete opposite of that while still teasing action scenes of both Laura and Logan. Releasing later this year, Logan is also confirmed to be the last film in the X-Men series starring Hugh Jackman. You can see the new Logan trailer below:

Power Rangers
For a long time Power Rangers has graced our screens with their lovely B-movie feel, but the latest Power Rangers trailer brings Angel Grove right back down to its roots, having rebooted the franchise with this upcoming film. Bryan Cranston makes an appearance as Zordon, the mentor for the Power Rangers. With such huge budget behind it, Power Rangers' Zord battles are starting to look more exciting than ever, having adopted a style that is much more akin to Transformers than the Zords that we've seen before.
