Action fans, prepare yourselves: even Keanu Reeves thinks that the latest John Wick movie might be a tad too extreme.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is just a month away from arriving on our screens and it'll be the biggest outing yet, with a globe-trotting narrative, a near-three hour long run-time, and now the promise that even Reeves (a legend of the action genre) thinks the movie pushes things "too far".

Speaking to IGN to discuss some of the jaw-dropping stunts we will see in this latest sequel, Reeves introduces some spectacular shoot-outs and a Paris car chase set piece that will leave fans dazzled. You'll never look at the Arc De Triomphe in the same way again.

Answering fan questions, the star remarks that the body count in this movie compares "very favourably" to previous entries, with the sheer scale of the car-fu, gun-fu, and sword-fu action helping take the franchise to "the next level".

The "car-fu" scene was a particular delight for stunt coordinator Scott Rogers, who describes staging the sequence in the clip: "We tore all the doors and lost the windshield.

"You’re gonna do a reverse 180 and you've got to shoot a gun, and then you've got to reload. He actually started getting too good in the car!"

Reeves added that this film "asks for a little bit more" from its actors than its predecessors, remarking that "you see the effort and commitment" from the team in putting it together.

Looking back at the carnage he teased, Reeves concludes the video by asking "have we gone too far?" through chuckles - and boy, do we hope they have.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is released in UK cinemas on Friday 24th March.
