Santa Monica Studio have released a trailer for God Of War: Ragnarök, and it's delivering everything fans of the franchise have wanted.
The ninth instalment in the series chronologically will pick up a few years after 2018's God Of War, and will be the finale to its Norse era.
The story will follow Kratos, Atreus and Mirmir as they fight to survive in the wilds, with the freezing Fimbulwinter making this harder than ever before.

As Ragnarök fast approaches, they need to make hard choices to determine the fates of all who live in the Nine Realms.
Developers have promised that this will be a more expansive game, with players able to visit all nine realms instead of just the six in the previous entry.
Additionally, there will be more combat options, with the game digging deeper into Norse mythology for a wide array of villains to battle.
God Of War: Ragnarok is scheduled for release in 2022.
