Nintendo Switch hype is in full swing, so with the launch of Nintendo's newest home console and handheld hybrid, we take a look at some games that would be perfect for Nintendo' new platform. From the AAA to lesser known titles, we take a look at some of the games that would benefit from being on the stalwart Japanese company's newest console

Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter is one of Capcom's biggest franchises, and with the Nintendo Switch, it would be the perfect time for the deep, third-person hunting action game to come to Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter is the progenitor of mechanical, animation-based third person combat like we see in the Souls series and most recently, Nioh. The Co-Op action of Monster Hunter, combined with the variation in combat with each of its unique weapons, combined with the portability and power of the Nintendo Switch make it an open-goal for Capcom to score into.

Dark Souls Trilogy

With the Dark Souls Trilogy all wrapped up, it's a great time to put together a Trilogy package for gamers, who can get the complete Dark Souls experience in one cartridge. This now legendary series of games have never been packaged together, it would also be fantastic to see a remaster of the original masterpiece- and have it portable nonetheless.

Kingdom Hearts

This collaboration between Square-Enix and Disney would have a perfect home on Nintendo Switch, with the recent rereleases of the main games in addition to the spinoffs, it would be a great platform for the child-friendly JRPG to land on a console that you cana take on the go. With the impending release of Kingdom Hearts 3, it could also be a great way to introduce the series to a brand-new audience.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V Switch would be a dream come true for many gamers. With the title having been released on PS3 and Xbox 360 prior to the game's release on current generation consoles and PC, it's possible that we could see this open-world behemoth on Nintendo's new platform- especially so given the new target audience of Nintendo's new hybrid console. The prospect of taking Grand Theft Auto Online out on the go is also incredibly attractive.

Super Smash Bros.

We've saved the best for last. Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS have complete rosters, and star a staggering amount of Nintendo characters. With the advent of the Switch, a port of this amazing party game where Mario and Link can both duke it out in the same arena- maybe some new DLC for the Squid Kids and a new flashy version of Link from Breath of the Wild? Come on Nintendo- we'd love to see this on your new console.
