Venom-let-there-be-carnage
4Very good film, Nice artwork on the steelbook and bought it at a discounted Zavvi price, which in these trying times is most appreciated! I do miss the digital copy though. Come on studios/distributors bring back the digital copies too please?

Venom steelbook
4Well protected in packaging but sounds like the discs are loose inside so hoping they aren't damaged or scratched where they've been moving about.

The Coming Of Carnage
4Another comic book movie. Sequel to 2018's 'Venom.' Which featured the Marvel comic anti hero/Spider-Man foe. ,And although being a Marvel character wasn't produced by Marvel studios. Thus wasn't part of that shared cinema universe. This picks up a little after the first film and doesn't do too much to fill any new viewers in. So they would be better off starting watching that. If you have, read on. This is a fifteen certificate thanks to strong language adult moments and gory bits, like the first film. So isn't like your typical Marvel movie. Eddie and Venom still share a body. Eddie gets an interview with convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady [Woody Harrelson], and this is a chance to get his journalistic career going again. But the Eddie Venom relationship, like that of any couple, can have ups and downs. And Cletus is interested in Eddie for a reason. He has a monster inside..... Not a spoiler, thanks to the title, but Spider-Man readers will be familiar with the characters of Cletus and Carnage. Who are Eddie and Venom but much much worse. And this is their time on the big screen. I quite enjoyed this movie. Which was a bit of a surprise, given that the first film didn't quite manage to find it's tone. But this does. As a mismatched odd couple bromance rom com. In that way, the character work between Eddie and Venom is really good. And often very funny. I am not a Marvel comics reader though. If I was, I imagine I would be a bit disappointed with this. Because it doesn't really do that much with the Carnage character. Woody Harrelson does his best to be a staring eyed psycho, and it's a professional performance. But this works far better for the Eddie Venom stuff than anything else. It does though manage to skewer one potential cliche in a later moment, so I did enjoy it for that. So my four stars is very much a matter of subjective opinion. And will possibly be in the minority. But that's life.
