Time-less Classic

Star studded fantasy for 'all the family' showcases Terry Gilliam's best movie (IMO). Time Bandits hasn't dated at all with great effects, storytelling, acting and humour. Sean Connery, Shelly Duvall, John Cleese, David Warner, Ralph Richardson, Peter Vaughn, Katherine Hellmond, Michael Palin, Ian Holm are all on top form but it's Craig Warnock and the band of small actors who hold the movie together. The film is littered with spectacle but its worth looking out for the small details too, from LEGO brick castles, whittling the rope on a hanging cage to just a couple of threads, or foreshadowing much of the movie in the drawings and pinned up pieces on Kevin's bedroom wall. The 4K release looks and sounds brilliant and features a plethora of inciteful extras with Gilliam, Palin, Warner and others. Nothing new from the previous blu-ray release but Arrow again, fill out this release with quite a lot.
