Great steelbook
The steelbook has a beautiful matte finish, the yellowish whitish fog having a more metallic silvery look to it. The pale glow of the street lamp in this metallic finish looks artistic and beautiful. No embossing / debossing needed. the movie itself does not have dolby vision (none of the 4k original exorcist releases do) It definitely has HDR though. Colours were much improved and the daylight scenes in full light in the desert were a real stand out. The blue and purple hues that are present in the exorcist scene were wonderfully cold and added to the literally chilling atmosphere when watching. Black levels were fantastic, this is the best the film has ever looked. Both theatrical & Directors cuts are on here in 4k and bluray, with an extras disc with 2 documentaries or featurettes. There are some extras and great documentaries however that weren't brought over from previous bluray releases (which is a real shame) so do hold on to your previous blurays if you want all the bonus features/ extras. Overall an extremely beautiful steelbook, great release would highly recommend for any collector serious about CINEMA and Film, a hauntingly great and masterfully made movie that stands the test of time - the real horror for me being the terror of witnessing the decline of her own child, and her powerlessness to stop it.

The Exorcist on 4K
The new transfer is rather controversial, but I don’t have the eye nor know the film well enough to judge in such detail. If you can put up with the revisionisms, it’s the best version of the film yet. Steelbook is very nice, use of theatrical art is appreciated. I wish the discs weren’t stacked though.

Worth Getting
No complaints about the content: a 4K and blu ray each of the Theatrical and Directors cuts, plus a bonus disc. The steelbook is decent; no debossing or snazzy features but solid enough and the artwork is great. To be honest, for the price I'm happier with this than with the full collectors edition.

Ugly's review
I feel that the power of Christ has compelled me to retort to Ugly's review/opinion/stupidity. I doubt they have the intelligence to understand this masterpiece, let alone write words, but well done for trying. Except that last comment, perhaps you are having a bad day/life and need an exorcism yourself? The movie is a worthy 5 stars, I have and cherish the deluxe version

terrible
this is the worst “supposed” horror film ever, the film was too long, dull and very boring and the steelbook ugly and cheap. worst film and steelbook i’ve ever seen. this makes me wanna have cancer.

Original artwork
I prefer this artwork to the new blue art of Reagans face that appears on the other steelbook available. My only criticism is the way they have stacked the disks- 3 on one side and 2 on the other, I've never liked this way as there is more chance of scratches on the discs. The reason I know this is it is the same steelbook as is in the deluxe set that I have received.
