Meh
You know the film, 10/10 looks as good as it likely ever will or needs to. Steelbook and main box packaging are nice. The booklet is a 5 minute read, the postcards are fine. The Blu Ray menu is a static background with options menu. The special features (or lack thereof) make this less than essential if you already have a copy of the film; a “making of” which is just a few clips from behind the scenes, that lasts just 7 minutes and makes Spielberg look like the director. The only other feature is the stupid ‘real’ world of poltergeists special yet again - phoney pseudoscientific rubbish that takes everything far too seriously. No deleted scenes or other features.

A classic horror movie returns in 4K
Poltergeist has already delivered good quality on Blu-ray, now on 4K I'm very excited. The special edition looks very good - in my opinion - and I'm already looking forward to this collector's edition. Maybe parts 2 and 3 will follow, although the sequels can't keep up the quality of the original. Maybe only part 2 with the underrated H.R. Giger design makes another 4K experience worth seeing.
