Big beautiful
Peter Jackson continues to build better worlds and here Kong has never looked more impressive. The presentation in 4K is stunning with sound design to match.

Kong: Skull Island
Kong: Skull Island is a throwback to the era when movies were fun - like, Stars Wars fun. Like Jaws fun. That kind of fun. The leads embody characters that are all understandable and genuinely likable. The plot isn't stuffed with technical geek references and "easter eggs" that weigh down other universe-building films. From the fire- singed Kong fur to the slick skull crawler tongues, the special effects are brilliantly detailed and animated. And it's genuinely refreshing to watch an action/monster film in which native peoples are depicted with dignity and respect, and where black and Asian characters aren't used as props or fodder for violence (admittedly, the film could have gone further with this, but I sensed some progress being made). Kong: Skull Island isn't Life is Beautiful. It isn't Casablanca. But it is genuinely, thrillingly, rigorously fun. It has heart, scales, teeth and a ferocious roar. Monster movies are back:)

Great VFX and finally nicely connected to the Godzilla franchise
As much as I loved the old King Kong movies, I was still looking forward to the more fresh, action-paced remake. I was not disappointed. I loved the actors, the VFX and the slice of information about the origin of King Kong and a reminder that this is the same universe as Godzilla and some other Monsters.

kong skull island is a lot of fun,kind of kong meets apocalypse now,which works well for a summer blockbuster,and the 4k uhd looks and sounds fantastic.

A unexpectedly good movie
I ordered this as I am a 4k Nut. I ordered havibg never seen any of the other kong movies so It was a gamble to say the least. However the movie was great and the quality of the colours and detail in the 4k was amazing. I would deffinetly recommend this to kong lovers, 4k lovers and anyone else. Great movie.
