Epic movie in glorius 4k quality. Must have for all movie lovers.

Fantastic Picture Quality!
Gladiator is undoubtedly one of Ridley Scott's better films, and this restored 4k release did not disappoint. I was actually very surprised over how good this film looked, especially compared to the previous blu-rays. Gladiator was shot on 35mm, but it honestly looks like it could have been shot on 70mm, cause its real sharp! Close-ups of faces, the big crowds of the colosseum and the stitching of clothes all look very sharp. There is a fine layer of grain throughout the movie, most notably in the opening scenes in Germania. Another thing that I noticed while watching the movie was how perfect the black-levels were. They were deep and inky, but without loosing any detail in the shadows. I can unfortunately not comment on the DTS-X audio-track, since my sound-bar downscaled it to 7.1 (its not compatible with DTS tracks). Also worth noting is that this release comes with the extended cut of the movie, also in 4K. Overall, a 5 out of 5 from me!

Still awesome after so many years... 4K makes it even better!
Seeing this in 4K just brought back memories of seeing it at the cinema. The 4K transfer is amazing and the score sound even better than I can recall. Anyone who loves this genre of movies... this is still by far one of the best ones and having it in 4K makes this movie even more epic.

Very good 4K transfer of an awesome film! I have not checked out the audio commentary yet, but it is definitely on my to-do list! A: 9; V: 9. Highly recommended to buy this when a multibuy deal is on.

Good upgrade visuals and audio
Sharp 4K HDR picture with crisp DTS X audio, best I’ve heard and seen this classic film. Worth every penny!

Just buy it
I saw this at the cinema three times, I had it on DVD, I had it on bluray, but this? Holy moly... DTS-X you have not seen it like this. I relived that first experience through this 4k release. And that is what this format is all about. You have got to own this in 4k. DO IT!

delivery was fast and reliable as always. No damage to box, unlike certain experiences with another online vendor. The movie itself looks fantastic. The HDR and the sound is too quality. Especially when using my bose surround sound system. Arguably one of the best 4k discs out there at the moment
