In the early 1980s, Dario Argento, the famed horror maestro responsible for such classics as Suspiria and Deep Red, branched out from directing into producing, shepherding the work of his fellow filmmakers to the screen - among them Lamberto Bava (Delirium, A Blade in the Dark), son of the legendary Mario Bava. Together, they crafted two tales of terror that would become synonymous with Italian 80s horror, in which the veil between the real world and the silver screen is torn asunder.
In 1985's Demons, a motley assortment of unwitting filmgoers accept invitations to a screening at the mysterious Metropol theatre. However, as the brutal slasher film unspools, the horror breaks free from the constraints the screen, unleashing a swarm of slathering demons, intent on spreading their evil plague across the globe. Then, in 1986's Demons 2, Hell comes direct to the living room as bloodthirsty demons descend on a luxury apartment block, devouring the residents and propagating their deadly plague.
Arrow Video is proud to present brand new 4K restorations of both classic films, more vivid and terrifying than ever before, alongside a wealth of bonus features old and new, making this the ultimate experience in celluloid terror.

Great boxset
Arrow nails it again with the transfer. Picture quality is great (there are some grain), and the HDR (Dolby Vision if you have it) gives it new life. These two movies have never looked better. Several audio options, both orginal and dubbed versions. Some interesting extras, liked the interview with Dario Argento. All The extras is on the uhd discs, no bluray’s included here. Fun fact: All The extras are in Dolby Vision, but the picture quality is in SD, so not the best result. The only thing I didn’t like was The box it came in, it’s split in two on the middle, and only hold in place by a piece of tape. The pieces don’t fit together.

Arrow does a bang up job with one caveat
The contents are of the usual high quality you would expect from Arrow. The slipcase is another issue, I don't why they've decided to go with the box that opens up from middle (similar to the Vengeance Trilogy Limited set). It's absolutely impossible to open it without taking away the J-card paper sleeve completely. A minor annoyance fer sure...

Demons 1&2 4K Set
A must for any Italian Horror fan i highly recommend the 4K set from Zavvi. The new scans show both films as they are meant to be seen, the wealth of extras is great and the addition of the book and replica Metropol ticket are nice. A highly recommended purchase and another great addition to the horror collection.

Two excellent horror movies looking their best
Demons and Demons 2 are a hugely enjoyable pair of gory horror films, and they look stunning in the new presentation from Arrow. Picture and sound quality are both top notch. The extras are plentiful and there's plenty to delve into, including some great audio commentary that give the films some interesting historical context. The physical extras are also very nice, there's a hardcover book with writing on the films, a poster and a realistic mock-up of the cinema ticket invitation. The one drawback with this box set is the box itself... although it looks nice I don't find it the most practical in the way it pulls apart, it just doesn't feel like it effectively binds everything together. That said, it's still a great release and fans of the films should consider buying it

Demoni 🔥
Another fantastic 4K release by arrow this is a new 4K restoration so even if your just thinking about upgrading to the standard Blu-ray set it is an upgrade on the release they previously put out. Very much worth the money if you are a fan of these two Italian classics, The box set is beautiful and nice heavyweight card so will last on your storage unit should become a victim of ware, Highly recommended purchase 👌👍🔥👹
