Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi blockbuster, now fully restored in 4K. Richard Dreyfuss stars as cable worker Roy Neary, who experiences a close encounter of the first kind – witnessing UFOs soaring across the sky. Meanwhile, government agents have close encounters of the second kind – discovering physical evidence of extraterrestrial visitors in the form of a lost fighter aircraft from World War II and a stranded military ship that disappears decades earlier only to suddenly reappear in an unusual place. Roy and the agents follow the clues that have drawn them to reach a site where they will have a close encounter of the third kind – contact.

Awesome
This has to be one of the best 4K box sets out there. The way it lights up and plays the 5 tones is awesome. Picture quality is superb, never seen it looking so good. If you are a fan of this movie then this is a must buy. I just wish other 4K boxset manufactures put as much effort in as this one.

Superb
My favourite film in 4K ultra HD, and the 40th anniversary special edition box set that makes a unique sound from the movie. Also included in the box set is a Blu-Ray and digital copy. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Simply Quality!
A fantastic boxset. All three versions of the film remastered in 4K. Loads of extras. From the box itself, to the photobook and onto the films this whole set reeks of quality. I think I have finally bought the set that means I won't now need to keep rebuying this movie as I cannot see how this particular boxset can be improved upon. In 4K HDR the films have never looked better. It is however nice to see that it has been a sympathetic remastering. One of my favourite films of all time has just got a whole lot better.
