Restored from the original negative for the first time ever, Apocalypse Now Final Cut is Coppola's most complete version of his multi-awarded classic. This is the first time the original negative has ever been scanned and over 11 months and 2,700 hours were spent on cleaning and restoring the film's 300,173 frames. Brought to life through ultra-vivid picture quality with Dolby Vision®, delivering spectacular colours never before seen on a screen, with highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker. It has also been mixed in Dolby Atmos® to offer a truly immersive sound experience and it has been enhanced Meyer Sound Laboratories' newly developed Sensual Sound™, a technology engineered to output audio below the limits of human hearing.

Apocalypse Now 4K
I was really impressed by the vivid colours of the 4K, more so than the actual high definition quality although that's down to my unfamiliarity with the format up to this point. Although I thought the film was great, I believe it was a mistake to only include Final Cut and wish they'd restored the theatrical version as well or instead, as the pacing and runtime wasn't perfect.

A must-buy for any film-enthusiast
This 4k restoration of Coppola's 1979 masterpiece is truly stunning. A few shots, like the opening, have some very heavy film-grain, but those shots are few and far between. Film-grain is mostly very fine, and detail is razor-sharp thanks to a 4k restoration done right. Colors also look stunning thanks to dolby vision, and the audio, which is Dolby Atmos this time around, is pretty much perfect. This is without a doubt the best the film has ever looked and sounded, and a no-brainer for any film-enthusiast. No problems on Zavvi's part, the product was delivered on time and all. 5 out of 5 stars across the board.

Classic Vietnam war film with all the detail and drama bought to the fore in 4K; excellently done and a must for your collection

Apocalypse now Final Cut 4K
This is the crispiest looking version of the film I’ve seen so far. Some bits are grainy, but what do you expect from a film this old? However it looks amazing and details pop out on the screen, and you can almost smell the sweat and napalm. This is a no brainer purchase for any collector. It’s packed with extras I haven’t even started on yet that’ll keep you busy for hours. The Final Cut is the version Copolla intended screening in theaters, but was trimmed down to the uncomprehending Theatrical version. It’s over 3 hours long clocking 183 minutes.

Apocalypse Now
This is one of my favourite films of all time and this new 4K cut didn't disappoint. The film was delivered fast and didn't come with scrathes or marks.

Apocalypse now -final cut 4k ultra
Great picture and sound quality on 4k ultra oled TV. Have always loved this film but this version with the French plantation scene was quite long so not sure when I will watch it again
