New York, 1955, Private Detective Harry Angel has a new case on his hands. Washed up crooner Johnny Favorite has gone missing. Anybody that might be holding clues is being killed. Informants and witnesses are being murdered one by one. The bodies are piling up, time is running out and Harry Angel is being kept awake at night by strange satanic visions. Angel Heart - 4K Ultra HD
Nice to finally have this in 4K since Angel Heart wasn't released in 4K in the US. Excellent upgrade video and audio wise over the previous blu-ray release. Also, nice packaging with slipcover.

Mickey Rourke at his best
Didn't expect too much from this movie, but from the moment when the first scene appears, it just sucked me in and didn't release me all to the end. The slow but steady suspense build-up is just great. I can only imagine the ending reactions when the movie first appeared in theaters, would like to be there.

superb movie. excellent cinematography, unique premise and the acting is top notch especially from Robert De Niro. Any fan of horror and just movies in general will find something to like here. The 4K is really good and really helps age this film better. Arrived quickly and efficiently.

Classic Alan Parker movie has been given a real lift in quality, with a wider sound stage and fantastic image, this movie is better than ever. A timeless classic.

What Evil Lurks In Men's Hearts
Alan Parker's adaptation of William Hjortsberg's novel features a career best performance from Mickey Rourke. A dark tale set in 50's New York that moves to the deep South as Rourke is hired to find a missing crooner, Jonny Favourite. An under appreciated gem that looks fantastic in 4K and comes highly recommended.

a labyrinthine plot which does for voodoo what wicker man did for paganism. Based on a fantasy classic.

Angel Heart is a devilish delight
A mind-blowing film that will keep you on the edge of your seat and the edge of your sanity. Mickey Rourke delivers a Brando-esque performance as private eye , Harry Angel (Mickey Rourke) while Robert De Niro teases us as the mystical Louis Cyphre. Don't have to say much more as that should be enough to quench your thirst and convince you that you need more. This is a film that will stay with you forever and now thanks to this new 4k release you will have a disc whose quality will last just as long.
