OST: EVERYBODY'S GONE TO THE RAPTURE - PLAYSTATION ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK. ZAVVI EXCLUSIVE – GOLD COLOURED DOUBLE VINYL – 500 COPIES ONLY
Composed by Jessica Curry.
The ground-breaking 2015 PlayStation® 4 game Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture tells the story of the inhabitants of a remote English valley who are caught up in world-shattering events beyond their control or understanding. Made by The Chinese Room - the studio responsible for the hauntingly beautiful Dear Esther - this tale of how people respond in the face of grave adversity is a non-linear, open-world experience that pushes innovative interactive storytelling to the next level. This story begins with the end of the world.
The game has already won GameSpot’s Best of E3 and was nominated for Best in Show and Best PS4 game by IGN.com.
The soundtrack features the music of BAFTA-nominated composer Jessica Curry, who is also joint Studio Head of the developer The Chinese Room. The music was recorded at the famed AIR Studios in London and features solo vocal performances by renowned Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, ethereal choir, and a tragically beautiful orchestral accompaniment.

Outstanding
An outstanding soundtrack to Everybody's Gone to the Rapture by Jessica Curry, pressed onto a gold-coloured double vinyl. The quality of the vinyl and packaging are superb, as is the content. This is a haunting soundtrack to what I would imagine is a haunting game (though I have not played it), one which I cannot recommend enough.

THE Finest Video Game Score of All Time
What more is there to add..? (beyond my Review Title). I have been listening to video game soundtracks for many many years. Jessica Curry's sublime, emotive music composed for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is quite simply the finest such composition I have ever heard. It certainly won't be to everyone's tastes (I'm not a particularly religious person... but this score has clear and undeniable themes of "faith"). It also sounds quintessentially "English", I would say (and all the good for it, given the location and atmosphere of the game itself). I could go on, but I don't need to - do NOT miss out on this quite wonderful soundtrack. I have it on CD, digital and also now this limited double-LP. I suggest you do likewise, as such releases don't tend to hang around for long. John.

A hauntingly beautiful soundtrack.
A superb album of hauntingly beautiful tracks from the PlayStation 4 exclusive Everybody's gone to the Rapture brought to life by the amazing talent of BAFTA awards nominee, Jessica Curry (Dear Esther, Amnesia) personally, one of the best classical albums ever produced.
