Tony Hawk: Shred + Board
I'm absolutely contented with Tony Hawk: Shred! It does have some bugs, but they are tiny things. It makes me feel that I'm a real pro skater with all of the tricks it contains. I'm thinkink of buying another one for my friend because he loves it too, so much that sometimes he doesn't let me play and I just watch him playing for hours.

Tony Hawk Shred fun but limited
Packaging: The box is good quality and the board is well protected by tough plastic and hard cardboard. Also includes free plastic bags of air! Board quality: No problems here. The board is sturdy and nicely heavy. It feels like quality. Just like the DJ Hero turntables I was surprised at how nicely made this device is. Pretty important for a controller that you jump around on, so it's good that Activision took care of this. Gameplay: Good tutorial that teaches you how to do moves to start with. Tutorial covers both skateboarding and snowboarding. The controls are basically the same so it gets a little repetitive but there are some nuances so probably not a bad thing. The graphics are nothing special but also not annoyingly ugly. But hey you don't buy a game like this to drool over awesome graphics do you? I didn't. While the controls are fun it's nothing like real life boarding. Due to lack of motion and pre-defined paths that your board sticks to you never feel real freedom. So why would you buy this? Not for playing on your own. The gameplay is not very varied and you never get the rush of the old TH games. This game is based around the gimmick of controlling the game through the board and is not made like the TH games that play through a regular controller. I got bored after the first level and didn't bother with it. The game shines when you have friends and family over. Laughing at people who manage to fall over on a motionless board and showing off your own 'leet' skills never gets old. My nieces enjoyed this game for at least an hour as did me and some friends with a few drinks. There's a lot of fun to be had while passing around the board and trying to beat each others scores/look less silly than each other. Conclusion: Enjoyable party/family game. Sub-par gamer game. Buy if you like weird, funky, original game controls. Buy if you like physically involved games. Buy if you like messing around with friends. Leave well alone if you are a pro-skater or a pro-gamer who plays alone.

Well worth it
At this price, this is an absolute bargain. The board is easy to use for adults and kids alike. The game is nicely presented and simple to dip in and out of. I was worried the board wouldn't be suitable for "larger" gamers, but the thing has a weight limit of something like 136kg so no problems there. Even if you're not a fan of skateboarding games, this is novel enough to warrant a look.

Tony Hawk: Shred + Board
The board you get with Tony Hawk: Shred is sturdy and well-made, with a full set of control buttons down the side. The set up was easy - standing out of the way of the 4 sensors whist the board calibrated itself, and off we went! The game itself is fun, the tips and tutorials are easy to follow, and the ability to play as either a skateboarder or a snowboarder is a great addition. If I had to pick at anything, it would be that the board is a little big, meaning that some of our arms don't quite reach the sensors when doing tricks, so we miss out on points, but that's a minor thing that won't apply to everybody. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

excellent from the second i unwrapped it
Tony Hawk: Shred + Board is a brilliant game for EVERYONE to enjoy. It has the easy settings and intuitive body reading so that when you miss a trick, it shows you a video of someone doing the trick you were trying; this greatly helps with positioning, especially with the harder tricks and combos. On the harder levels the board demands more. This is better than the wii board and far more fun, with lots of clothes, boards, and extras to unlock aswell. This game has lots of options and different game variants to keep you coming back for more. My son (6 yrs old), my little girl (3 yrs old), my wife (29 yrs old), and myself (27 yrs old) have all been playing this game for the past two weeks and its kept our attention and we have been giving each other tips, so I think it's a good family game aswell.
