Max Payne 3; Latino Genocide.

Max Payne 3, is the new noir-free instalment in the series, the lack of noir elements or comic styling would discourage fans of the series, but the Max Payne film kind of ruined any notion of returning to the noir setting in the NYC. In this title, we follow the now flawed and very drunk Max Payne, on a roller coaster of depression and bad timing, throughout the game Max is constantly outnumbered, outgunned, and usually out of ammo. gone are the days of hiding 20 guns under a leather jacket, Max is now limited to 3 weapons max, with an option to dual-wield akimbo in classic fashion and while enemies wield grenades which are constantly pitched-perfect in poor Max's direction, Max does not have access to his own grenades, limiting his ability in combat to flush out opponents ,instead Max must flank or shoot-dodge around corners to outflank and kill his enemies, which ends in either spectacular fashion or with max rolling around on floor like a beached whale. While the gunplay in Max Payne is superb, the control of character is somewhat awkward, bullet diving to prone leaves Max vulnerable for a prolonged period, long enough for a dead-eye enemy to seriously wound Max, causing bullet-time to be reservedly in combat, i.e for accurate shooting or to be used as a last - ditch action to escape bullets, even moving from prone to a standing position or cover, is infuriatingly long. Ammunition is a touchy subject in Max Payne 3, in one setting Max is given more ammo than a man could dream of, in another Max is left with a few clips to survive on for half an hour. while i exaggerate, players will often find themselves surveying the floor like CSI looking for a bullets in some periods. The story of Max Payne 3 while intriguing is somewhat straightforward, plot twists and backstabbers can be seen from the start, and Max's own detective skills don't pick up on this until halfway into the story, which undermines his character. The protagonist, while likeable, is somewhat ill-minded, there is no explanation for his constant need for destruction and killing, while he references the need to (spoiler) to save the kidnapped wife (end spoiler) as redemption for past actions and mistakes, its a pretty weak motive, and through the closing acts the story turns into a tangled web of corruption, sobriety and un-translated Portuguese. Max Payne 3 is definite buy for the Rockstar enthusiast, its single-player while having its faults cannot be denied its advances, its gunplay is hypnotic and its settings and design are beautifully created, another strong point for Max Payne 3 is its soundtrack, the band HEALTH, lend the talents and with each cut scene and shootout is complimented by either a barrage of gritty tones and symphonic pieces.

Max Payne 3

If Max Payne 3 was an action movie, I would give it 10/10. Great game, I really love it.

Kingly game

Where to begin talking about how insanely amazing this game is? Max Payne has always been great, (even years on, Max Payne 2 stands out as a great game) but Max Payne 3 is next level awesome. Story is genuinely gripping, which means you'll actually get angry with the villains and feel real sympathy for the innocent victims. Some of the more violent bits are a bit gorey, so maybe hold off on this one for young children, but for anyone old enough to handle it its an amazing game.

Graphic but Great game

Great game, gory moments, glorious moments. Each kill is gratifying to the extreme. Because of the way you all compare your scores against friends and stuff there's a big incentive to keep working at it, long after you've mastered the story mode, which gives the game a much longer shelf life, making it great value for money.

All Gain, no pain

Massively engaging game, definitely worth buying! You get lost in the game big time, and you'll probably find yourself whiling away the hours way into the night. Given the ability to compare your scores against your friends' as well, you'll probably have to just to be able to compete. The Gang Wars mode is seriously amazing, and loved unleashing paranoia on your enemies, getting them all to shoot each other.

Max Payne 3 (Includes Zavvi Exclusive Bullet Pen)

Max Payne 3 looks like it will have awesome graphics, and an awesome multiplayer mode, but I think Rockstar have made a silly move by releasing two good, and popular games in the same year. I hope Max Payne 3 will be as good as Max Payne 2.
