The Black Knight is back like you've never seen him before! From Traveler's Tales, the creators of the Lego Star Wars games, comes Lego Batman. Pulling inspiration from the gamut of bat history, this action-packed Batman experiences lets you play as Bat man, Robin or more than 12 dastardly villains -- all in their super-fun LEGO form! There's been a big break-out from Arkham Asylum. Batman must again face against classic bad guys and girls like the Joker and Catwoman.
Designed for standard two-player, drop-in/out cooperative play, Lego Batman is broken up into 18 levels, with three different story arcs (that's six levels per story arc). Lego Batman lets you play in both hero and villain story modes, as well as a free-play mode. The Batcave serves as the natural hub area for Batman while Arkham Asylum is the hub for villains.
Lego Batman lets you build and take control of Lego versions of your favorite vehicles like the Batmobile, Batboat and the Batwing. As you collect various Lego pieces throughout a level, you'll develop special superhero power suits to give you extra moves. The bad guys come with their own evil perks. For instance, the Joker electrifies enemies and powers machines with his electric buzzer and Harley Quinn soars above other characters with her super-jump.

Lego Batman was better than I thought it would be originally. Definitely one to have in the collection.

fun but obscure
This is more great LEGO gameplay action. My 4 year old loved the LEGO Star Wars games so we bought Batman to play with him. He loves playing as his hero Robin, and enjoys reading the character bios at the start of each level. The way that the figures don't die, but merely come apart and are fixed back together again, is great for young players beginning their gaming adventures. Being able to play as the bad guys is a fun twist for all ages. The gameplay is a little counter intuitive at times with the puzzles being more obscure and the character movement being less fluid than with the Star Wars games. The games become more fun once you've played through them once and have released the "free play" option and any small boy will tell you you can't go far wrong with Batman and Robin.

The Lego Knight
I loved Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones and this is another great romp for family and friends with the same splitscreen drop in/drop out co-op (still no addition of online co-op through X-Box Live) From the beginning this game feels familiar to people who played either of the first two LEGO games but I think that this is more approachable as the story in LEGO Batman is not taken from any Film/Cartoon or Comic so you never know what will happen next. The characters are fun to use with the villains having a unique special ability and the heroes getting the ability to wear different suits to perform special tasks. The levels are imaginative and the slapstick humour that made Lego Star Wars and Lego India Jones popular remains. I am really enjoying this game and currently playing it with a younger sibling in my family Enjoyable for all ages, a must for families Can be repetitive but I didn't find this a problem I would have given it a 5 if it had online co-op
