Awesome game
Ridge Racer Unbounded is a truly awesome race game, with great tunes, great graphics and effects. Once you get the hang of the timing required to drift, you'll find out that it is a true Ridge Racer game! This is highly recommended!

Good
Ridge Racer Unbounded is great but the levels are hard.

3,5/5
Driving is smooth, but driving at night bothers me (you don't really see where are you headed to most of the time). Mode for building is interesting. I just play it for a while, need to give it some more time, but for now I think it's gonna be nice entertainment before NFS :)

Great Game 5/5
Ridge Racer Unbounded is quite possibly the best arcade racer I've played to date. The racing mechanics are fluid and smooth with no glitches encountered. The graphics are top notch. The interface is well presented and the game has a wide array of features from custom user created tracks to an online mode. There are 5 types of races that increase in difficulty as you progress so the game stays fresh. Challenge events online are a good change of pace from the campaign offering anything from a different sort of challenge to just plain mayhem fun.

Ridge Racer: Unbounded
Having been an ardent fan of the Ridge Racer series I was unsure when I read reviews about how this title deviated from the Ridge Racer mould, however several good reviews from sources I trust tempted me towards trying it and Zavvi.com's excellent price sealed the deal and I have to say "wow". The variation in racing styles is fun, the cars handle differently, and each takes some getting used to but once you have all handle well. The difficulty can be high at times but the addiction level to re-trying each event is high too. The track editor is awesome and gives this game infinite replayability. All in all, I would recommend this game to any arcade racing fan who is up for a challenge.

Ridge Racer Unbounded
Ridge Racer Unbounded is a good game I enjoyed the demo so decided to buy the game. If you like racing games where you smash through buildings then this game will be good for you. I think that a racing game that is just about racing can be 'old fashioned', so it is good that they added something different to the game. I gave it 4 stars as it didn't initially hold my attention for that long.

Ridge Racer Unbounded
I don't know why Ridge Racer Unbounded was made. It doesn't fulfill the driving needs like games like Burnout, Driver and Gran Turismo nor does it background destruction thing work like MotoStorm or Split Second. The drifting is just plain annoying, all the stages look the same, the game has not plot and the graphics are not very good either (compared to modern standards). If you get this game for cheap (as I did) it is not so painful. But do not buy this game for full price or you will cry.

This game is actually good fun if you stick with it!
Once you get passed the atrocious learning curve, Ridge Racer Unbounded gets really nice. Really for anyone on the fence just play the demo thoroughly to make up your mind and not end up like the previous reviewer. Once you've started winning and learn the mechanics it becomes really rewarding! I actually find it refreshing that the game actually requires some skill.

Ridge Racer Unbounded
Ridge Racer Unbounded really sucks! It's really hard to win or score even 3rd place. 99% of the time, it's just crashing, not racing. If you're in 1st 2nd or 3rd place, you´re guarunteed to be hit by someone from behind, there's no story-line, and to be honest, if I could, I'd send it back.
