Far Cry 3 is the eagerly awaited open world action game that is the third addition to the critically acclaimed Far Cry legacy, and is brought to you by Ubisoft. This game is the follow up to its predecessor Far Cry 2, which was released in 2008.

Mission 1: Forgotten Experiment
Trapped inside a forgotten research facility, Jason discovers that the only way out is through the crumbling WWII ruins. But if Jason hopes to escape, he'll have to activate the old experiments and unleash the electric storm that could kill him.
Mission 2: Ignition In The Deep
Inside an abandoned WWII military silo, the only thing standing between Jason and freedom are pirates and a forgotten missile leaking a lake of fuel. One stray bullet and the entire complex goes up in flames, forcing Jason to rely on his wits and stealth to survive.

You find yourself playing as Jason Brody, a man who is stranded after a backpacking adventure gone wrong on a beautiful island paradise that is swarming with corrupt, black market dealing mad men. One in particular, Vass Montenegro, has taken your girlfriend to use in his human trafficking ring and killed your best friend, and is now intent on killing you. The game has been created to seem as dangerous and intense as possible, playing on the paranoia and the corruptibility of human nature with its unpredictability and gritty realism.
Jason has been forced to learn combat and how to handle a gun very quickly in order to guarantee his survival on these islands, and develops his own particular methods. You are now adept at both melee attacks, specifically with a machete, and with whatever firearms you can get your hands on. Far Cry 3 boasts an overhauled stealth mechanic, which enables you to shoot enemies from behind objects whilst in crouch mode, as well as perform take-downs and death from above; melee attacks from behind or launching yourself onto an enemy from above. However, this is well balanced out with the amount of artillery you can find, as this game's roots are hardcore first person shooter.
Far Cry 3 revolutionises the open world sandbox aspect found in previous titles, with the visually stunning open environments you find yourself in on the island being either an ally or a threat to you. This malleable trait is found throughout the entirety of the game as you dictate how the story unfolds; your actions and choices affect whether you will make allies or enemies, what battles you will fight, when and how you want to complete missions, and more. As you attempt to escape from this visually breathtaking island paradise and its crazed inhabitants, you will get to experience everything Far Cry 3 has to offer you, and that's a lot. Far Cry 3 : The Lost Expeditions
My first play of any far cry and this game rocks big time. Stunning visuals, great game play, easy to pick up and go anywhere or go through the missions and tasks it will keep you entertained for ages. Not many games are 'must buys' but this is the best game i have played in years.

Its the new evolution of games. Extremely detailed game and now in Zavvi pre-order for a prince under £40! Its a game with intense experience and a must have for Far cry followers.
