Driver: San Fransisco

Driver: San Francisco is fantastic, it has a good story with literally hundreds of side missions including cars chases, speed stunts, dares and movie style challenges. The online component of the game is great with 11 modes to choose from. Classic capture the flag is re-invented with the use of the shift feature, standard races can quickly erupt with frenetic demolition derby smashes and the ability to shift into an oncoming vehicle can cause havoc and mayhem and drastically alter the race. As for the collectors edition content, the map included is very nice as it shows the location of all the movie tokens in the game. The included comic is very nice and has a great art style blending classic comic book style with 70's movie chase scene influences. The main feature, the car is very good quality and is made out of metal, feels strong and will look great on any collectors shelf. Highly recommended.

driver is just great reminds me of the old ones

After playing the demo, was looking forward to seeing how the new mechanics and shift feature would play in a single player and mutiplayer title, was sceptical at first, but the further I got into the game I seemed to enjoy it more and more, this game was always intended to be a tribute to the original driver which is borderline on legendary status, no running about, no messing just simple driving and action, and it works wonders, the single player was slightly too long in my honest opinion, it did seem to drag a little towards the end but still thoroughly enjoyable none the less. The bit that really surprised me is the multiplayer, now this being an Ubisoft game, i expected it to have endless issues on day 1 like many of there other titles but this game just works, the shift mechanism is a great feature for multiplayer and adds a different level of strategy into the mutliplayer matches, with modes such as trailblazer and shift racing its a mechanic that comes very handy. The graphics in this game are really nice at times and the Film Director is pretty good although not as good as id like, its still a nice feature. Those sceptical about this title, it maybe worth a wait for a price drop, but I'm not disappointed by this day 1 purchase - 4 out 5 of simply because of the film director not being as comprehensive as it should be.
