Catherine is truly unique.

As a member of the Video Game Developer community, I have played a lot of games with the aim of being objective, in order to learn and understand choices made by other developers, to stay on top trend and experience the best ideas games have to offer. My conclusion is the guys who made Catherine are geniuses. It's a wonderfully unique experience - you have never played and probably will never again play a game quite like it. That is the real beauty of Catherine. It's thematically bizarre but tackles a very real social faux pas, the act of cheating, as well as tackling feelings of doubt and personal weakness. Did I also mention it's a puzzle game? Don't be fooled by the overtly and slightly grotesque sexuality displayed in art work and on the sleeve, this game is a horror thriller and will have you questioning your own ethics whilst spinning you through a wild ride of questions. It's a must have for game enthusiasts.

Original

It is really original but a bit repetitive. The story is so good and original but the style of puzzle are very repetitive (at least in the beginnig)

Catherine, oh Katherine...

Catherine is an unusual combo of a puzzle/anime/choose your own adventure game. Basic game play can be put down to laying cubes by night to reach your goal alive, and spending days working and hanging with your friends. The main character is Vincent, who is in a long relationship with Katherine. The problems start when he meets Catherine, and one day wakes up in bed next to her. During the day you talk with your friends, Katherine and Catherine, trying to figure out your life. It has a good story, great dialogues and excellent voice acting.

Catherine

Catherine is one of the weirdest and most interesting stories I have ever seen. It is quite challenging and fun. Would highly recommend.

Great game

This game has strong points on story and animation artwork. The only down side is the actual interaction in only on puzzle-typed game play. I wish, there could be more type of puzzle instead of just raced-block arranging puzzle

Hidden Gem

Catherine is an amazing little game. I was hoping to try out a "different" game and Catherine seemed just what I was looking for. I wasn't expecting anything like this though. This is truly a hidden gem and the fun you can have while playing this game makes it totally worth buying. Perhaps it could use some different gameplay mechanics to make things a bit more different at times but still it is a solid title for any gamer's collection.

Two thumbs up

Catherine is one of the best PS3 games. It features a magnificent story and magnificent gameplay. You will find a part of you in the main character Vincent and fall in love with Katherine or Catherine.

Review of Catherine

I like puzzles and this was a challenging game. It was bizarre in everyway, disturbing yet entertaining. I had enjoyed playing this with other friends in versus mode.

Catherine

From the people that brought you the Persona series comes Catherine, which is unlike anything you've ever played before. Blending horror and puzzles, this game is twisted and addictive, and you won't put it down until you see through this mature story about adult relationships.

Catherine

Catherine is an excellent, funny and crazy game. Sometimes the puzzles are frustrating, but the storyline is one of the craziest I've ever seen.
