Mass effect 2
Dated graphics, but good gameplay. Overall a decent game to while away the hours.

A great game spoiled by a bad player
First of all, let me explain the title of the review. The PC version of the game itself is great, the graphics are fabulous (for their age) and you don't need a particularly high-spec PC to make it play really well. The entire problem was me, both in my capacity as an old, fat-fingered oaf and due to the fact that I had finished the original Mass Effect minutes before starting Mass Effect 2. The thing is that whilst the gameplay is very similar, the control systems and keyboard mapping for both games are completely different to each other. Perhaps it was just too much for my addled old brain to keep up with, but after an hour or so of play, I was still trying to use the old Mass Effect controls. My only other niggle is that the mini-games (Opening locks, prospecting systems for resources etc) seem to have become a little bit long-winded for my taste, and whoever's idea it was to have the Normandy have to be refuelled as you travel around the star systems deserves to be soundly thrashed. Apart from all that, a great game and I'm looking forward to helping the new and improved Commander Sheppard through his next set of adventures. One thing, you should download the v1.02 patch for this game before you play it (And possibly join the Cerberus Network if you get the option) it improved the game no end. ME2
Game arrived earlier than expected (less than 48hrs after order). Great game so far, a bit more shooting than ME1 but they've swapped the planet searches by vehicle for planet scanning which gets a bit tedious. Any fans of the first game will enjoy the second.

Mass Effect 2 (PS3)
Any gamer must try this Mass Effect 2. I chose the PS3 version because it's the only system that I have to play. The game features a very good story that is influenced by your decisions, and the game includes puzzles and a sci-fi story. This is a game that must be tried.

Mass Effect 2 [PC]
A great game that tales an amazing Sci-fi story - Mass Effect 2 is a must for all gamers as the story is so emotionally engaging you won't want it to end. Although it is recommended you play the first one before this, if you haven't already. The game runs very well on PC.

The best game i have ever played
First when i was introduced to mass effect series i was like nah this game not worth the money but later when i started to play longer i realised that the game is masterpiece. It combines the element of a science fiction 3d shooter with RPG. You playing with commander Sheppard, the guy who saved galaxy from the geth in first part, and now he is facing with a threat to the humanity from the unknown galaxy species called The Collectors who are working for the advanced machine race known as Reapers. The threat is great Sheppard knowing what he's facing must recruit the best soldiers and scientist in the galaxy and prepare for sacrificing for the greater good. All of this is even better with the cinematics and interactive aproach to the conversations. You can chose between paragon reaction which you take honorable actions, and renegade which makes you evil.Graphics are improved from the previous game(mass effect 1)and the slow ride elevators and loading screens are replaced with fast loading screens. There are great choice of weapon and added fifth slot for special weapon like grenade launcher and some nuclear weapon.Stats are reworked making less choice but still are good. There is upgrade lab too where you can do upgrades for your team and ship, with previous collecting galaxy element from quest or interstellar exploring and mining from the planets( one of the funiest things). So overall Bioware did good job with Mass Effect 2 making one of the greatest game ever released and surely number 1 for me.

Mass Effect 2 - Probably the best RPG I've ever played
Mass Effect 2 was a title I approached with some caution, having enjoyed the original Mass Effect on Xbox 360, but always thinking it had a missing element. Well, they have found that element and filled it in and gone much further with Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect 2 was a very good game to play, with your choices affecting the storyline throughout. This unique feature really makes this game worth playing, at least two times with different characters following different routes in the game. Not only is the storyline manipulatable by your actions, but the storyline options that I have personally unlocked are quite interesting. As you go through the game there is more to find at some places on a second play. Following the quality of the first Mass Effect storyline, this game is most definately a winner! Now to look at the graphics of the game. They are stunning, and if you thought the first Mass Effect had good graphics, this game will really shine on a high spec PC, and still be decent on a lower spec PC. On my laptops nvidia 9600GS I was able to play at 1280x720 with a frame rate of 30. Although not high it was very playable and the faces of the characters are incredibly detailed! I am very impressed with the graphics this game is pumping out. What more is there to say? The sound meets upto the games high standard. There's lasting appeal in the replay options and the main storyline itself will keep you going for quite a while. This really is a gem of a game!
