As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you'll have even more opportunities for customization.

Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
- Play SMART - Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you're used to and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold down the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you're trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you'll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
- Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You'll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

Great Game
The game is great, it's a mix between Battlefield, Call of Duty, Bulletstorm, the sound of guns is great, the multiplayer a lot of fun, variety of weapons is very good, the plot and the characters too, worth trying

intelligent team-based shooter
at first, i read some reviews on other sides like amazon or ebay. I have never read so much different posts- from excellent gameplay and top graphics to no fun and no up to date graphics. so I thought to myself, give it a try. the graphics are awesome. extremely detailed faces and animations. granted, the explosions look a bit weak but that is something I dont really care about.... the first hands on was a bit chaotic. everyone is running and jumping and of course, I got shot so many times that I thought I'm too dumb to play the game. so the first hour was a bit frustrating. But then, it began to roll. And BRINK rolls fast! There are so many different upgrades to choose from. and I dont mean weapon upgrades. the perks have 52 upgrades in total. your weapons are totally modifiable- from silencer to different scopes, you can change everything. this changes also the attributes of the weapons. so everyone has really unique weapons. you can choose from countless combinations of weapons, upgrades and 3 bodytypes. YOUR DECISIONS CHANGE YOUR PLAYSTYLE! Not only the guns are adjustable, also there are different bodytypes . firstly, you have the normal body type. but with leveling up, you unlock 2 more. the heavy bodytypes can take bigger guns and take more damage but are less moveable. the "light" bodytype is very fast but more limited in taking weapons and damage. everything changes your style of play. THE CAMPAIGN IS MORE LIKE A BIG TUTORIAL! admittedly, there is not everything awesome in BRINK. the campaign was a bit lame. I never got the feeling of a profound story or an amazing atmosphere. I felt more like a big tutorial to make you ready for the big action in multiplayer. TEAM-BASED GETS A NEW DEFINITION! the singe-player was a bit disappointing, so I thought lets get some action in multiplayer. and there was action! I encountered some players with headset and joined their team. everyone had a mission to accomplish( which you can choose and change every time). All in all, I have to admitt that BRINK is an awesome team-based shooter with real innovations and potential. But this games is really no fun for campers and one man armies, because a well coordinated team will always win!

Brink
With its quirky art style and near endless character customization brink promises to become a favourite for online gamers in much the same way that team fortress has over the last few years. Multiplayer dominates this title with the main story line missions being available in both a single player mode and a multiplayer mode, allowing you to invite friends to participare in a co-operative slaughtering of the somewhat predictable A.I. or to play against a random selection of people online. However, with the title being so dominated by multiplayer it does leave the storyline feeling like an add on and the character development being second to nil, whilst this may be of no interest to many gamers, I personally prefer my games with some story and substance. Possibly the most noteworthy development in Brink is the addition of the SMART (smooth movement across random terrain) system. This allows the player to simply and quickly navigate brinks maps by not only following the obvious paths but also by climbing over obsticles and potentially finding a quicker route. However whilst the system seems to work well in most instances its is by no means perfect and can be a nuisance when trying to duck under ends up being a jump over into the sights of the enemy. The customisation system allows players to change the characters appearance and loadout, with not only the clothing but weapon loadout being customisable. A nice touch for the online community. Overall this game feels like it could easily be a strong multiplayer title for some time to come, though I imagine the quirky art style and limited maps (though a free DLC is promised for June) may scare many players away. Positives + Looks good + Near endless customisation + Fun multiplayer Negatives - No singleplayer - Shallow Story - Limited maps (at the moment)
