Over the past several years, numerous Sonic games have been released, none of them have been quite as enjoyable as Sonic Colours. Firstly the game just looks beautiful. As its title implies the game is packed full of vibrant characters and environments. It is very pleasing to the eyes. All the animations are smooth and the game keeps a consistent framerate. Sonic Colours utilises 2D environments and occasionally mixes it up with some 3D sections, all of these sections retain the known and loved speed of old Sonic games. The game rarely slows down. Each level is differs from the last, possibly not enough though, but each world is unique. The game has a pretty cool new feature with the wisps allowing Sonic to perform ultra powerful moves and abilities that are well beyond what he has done in other games. The wisps isn't a superb idea but it does mix up the gameplay just nicely. The boss fights are good but not exactly memorable, and the cutscenes are cute but the dialogue is almost painful at times. It is the best Sonic game in years but it's not perfect.

Sonic Colours wii is a great single player level game, with lots of different types of levels and more. Multiplayer is a little bit rubbish as it is just 8 or so levels that you complete over and over again which makes it very repetitive. Overall, an great game, but a bit anti-social.

Love this game so much, bought it from game for £35 and my child broke it lol. Came on Zavvi and couldnt believe it was less than £18!!!! The cheapest i could find any where. So instantly bought it and would advise all to do the same.... Thankyou Zavvi!! Marry Xmas x

After many years of sonic games and complaints this game seems to be finally the game that in my opinion is going to bring sonic back and is a must buy for every gamer and also a perfect christmas present. I have played the eairly build of the game and it was amazing the new wisps let you play sonic in a way never seen before while also makeing the game extremilly fun. Unlike other sonic wii games the wii remote in not used a high amount like other sonic games which in my opinion is very good as it is one of those games that you can pick up and know how to play unlike other sonic games where the manual has to be at close hand to play the game. So if you are a sonic fan or just some on looking for a present for a gamer (all ages) this the the game for you.
