Scribblenauts Unlimited is the fourth title in the wonderful and imaginative Scribblenauts series, and is released exclusively on the Wii U, Nintendo's latest and incredibly innovative home console. This game is stylised as a word-based puzzle platformer, challenging players to use their brains and, most importantly, their imagination. The game has been developed by 5th Cell, with the graphics completely revamped for the HD visual quality of the Wii U, immersing you into the magical world like never before.

The game revolves around the series' protagonist Maxwell, whose duty is to collect Starites and Starite shards, of which there are over 50 Starites and over 500 shards. Within the expanded main campaign, you will play as our creative hero throughout forty one levels, where you must use your noodle to the best of your ability in order to complete the various tasks that Maxwell will encounter on his journey through this huge and gorgeous side-scrolling open world. As you follow the storyline, you may just learn the back story of Maxwell, his twin sister Lily, his parents, and just how he got his mysterious magical notepad.

The gameplay of Scribblenauts Unlimited keeps the basic premise of every instalment in the series before it, where the player must help the various characters they meet by typing in the name of the object that the NPC needs in order to complete a task. An example of this would be if a character needed to chop down a tree; type in the word 'axe' and the character will be given an axe to chop the tree down. Unlimited has an incredibly wide vocabulary, yet should you type in a word the game doesn't know, you can always create it yourself using the game's incredible item creation. The levels of the game have been designed as free roaming, so you can make your way through the world and its different themed areas at your own pace, and in whichever direction you wish to take.

Scribblenauts has always boasted the ability that the player can imagine anything and bring it to life within the game, and Unlimited now expands these possibilities by allowing players to fuse objects. The creation element of the game has been greatly improved with a multitude of new creation and customisation options, offering you the ability to combine different objects, change the colour of the object, add various personal touches to it, and even share this creation with others, who can then add to it themselves. This creation emphasis has been transferred to the new and intuitive Wii U Game Pad controller, where players can use the touch screen as a workshop in order to build anything your mind desires, and then magic it into the game world. The detail when it comes to creating new objects is incredible in Unlimited, as it allows you to name your new creation, and then adjust every aspect of the object to your ideal specifications, from how it's used, how it reacts in the game, its functions, and more. Alongside this, you can also store your previously summoned objects and own creations in the object library in Maxwell's backpack, allowing for easy access and future use throughout the game.

There is an incredibly wide variety of gameplay and features to enjoy and explore within Scribblenauts Unlimited, where anything and everything is possible if you use your imagination.
