Watch Dogs (stylised as WATCH_DOGS) is the feverishly anticipated and highly ingenious game developed by Ubisoft Montreal, who are best known for their widely and critically acclaimed Far Cry and Assassin's Creed franchises. Watch Dogs is stylised as an open world action adventure game, and depicts an innovative style of gameplay that revolves around cyber crime, all in a very large scale setting.
The game is set in an alternate reality in the city of Chicago, Illinois, which is one of many cities that features a super computer known as a CtOS - a Central Operating System that controls almost every piece of technology and possesses almost every detail of information on the people within the city. The game revolves around the premise that everything is connected, and that connection is power, which leads us to Watch Dog's protagonist, or perhaps even its antagonist, Aiden Pierce.
Aiden Pierce is a highly skilled hacker who possesses the ability to hack into any device linked to the CtOS, and then use it as a weapon; gameplay centres on Pierce's talents to hack into various electronic systems, either to obtain information or control a particular device. The information that Pierce can divulge about a citizen is incredibly detailed, including their health, criminal record, medical history, bank history, and even their probability of violence.
Watch Dogs boasts a perfect fusion of cutting edge technology and innovative, sophisticated game design, resulting in a realistic and living massive open world. This is enhanced by the player's ability to fully interact with a 3D map of the city, which offers the player the ability to control it, giving the term open world new meaning. Controlling the city can range from manipulating traffic lights, to tapping into the city's security camera feed, and everything inbetween.
Information warfare is raging, and you as Aiden Pierce may be the only person capable of coercing and controlling every element. Nobody knows who runs the computer that the city depends on, and you must utilise every means at your disposal in order to take down a corrupt system. (Cat Emerson)

Watch Dogs
Game seems good so far except for the bad car physics.

Great Hybrid Game
This is a great open world hybrid game; as it is a successful mash-up of the game series outlined below: INFAMOUS - Watch dogs possesses elements of Infamous, as you are able to obtain skill points in order to upgrade Aiden's skills which enables you to improve weapon, driving, hacking, and combat skills. The game also offer rewards such as weapons and vehicles; for completing tasks throughout Chicago; which there are plenty to find and complete. Also a key similarity is that your Actions can gain you either a Heroic, or Villain status which is also a great feature. SAINTS ROW - Many people compare to GTA; however this is a lot more like Saints Row as it isn't as serious as the mini games in GTA; as watchdogs features in world mini games through 'Digital Trips' which see you encounter endless waves of invading aliens, crushing the streets of Chicago with a walking spider robot, or bouncing your way through floral psychedelic scenery... oh and Cash Run. On a more serious note you can enjoy playing Poker, Chess ; and the most challenging of all; Drinking Games, which can be hard, but very rewarding once you achieve the trophy 'Social Lubricant - Complete level 10 against all 3 Drinking Game opponents'. I also found that not only are the fun mini games similar to Saints Row; but also the graphics; which are great on the various check in locations throughout the game which share some brief history of Chicago. ASSASIN'S CREED - I've compared the game to Assasin's Creed due to the choice you have to tackle the game; either through Stealth or all out Attack; and of course they share the same publisher; Ubisoft, therefore some of the features within the game a very similar. I read several reviews before purchasing this game; one which alarmed me was that of Gamespot; which hammered the Open World Map; however it has wrongly criticised the game's map. Their reviewer stated that unlike GTA you can not go and explore hidden sites such as the famous mount chiliad in San Andreas; which he then said makes the game feel unreal, less enjoyable, and not as memorable. However I believe he is wrong for 2 reasons: 1) Yes the entire map is already unlocked for you to explore; however in order to find new activities, and hideouts you MUST hack into the ctOS Towers in order to unlock the area which the signal of the tower reaches out to. 2) San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City... and other cities which may feature in GTA are all fantasy, therefore they don't actually exist, which in my opinion makes the game feel very unreal; and is why you have to go and explore. On the other hand, Watch Dogs is set in a non-fictional Chicago... so the creators aren't really going to change Chicago by placing fantasy areas such as GTA's mount chiliad somewhere in Chicago because it simply dosen't exist; and the fact you have to check into view buildings which are in Chicago, and collect music (most of which is from music artists from Chicago) is a nice touch and actually somewhat educates you. The games story line in some places is sometimes hard to follow; however there are many campaign missions which will keep you occupied for sometime; and help to progress your in-game skills. The online gameplay is also fun; as you can accept contracts in order to hack into someone else's game, which can be done in various game types including: hacking, tailing, decryption, and ctOS mobile challenge. You can also enjoy online racing; and free roam. Overall i'd score Watch Dogs 8.5/10; as the game features many things to do which are all enjoyable and will take a while to fully complete. The only fault i've came across whilst playing is the storyline plot, clothing customisation, and the graphics could be better; but are still good.

Good but...
Very original game for some aspects, not really revolutionary about graphic (it doesn't seem a next-gen game) but one of the top 5 PS4'S games at the moment

Trying to be honest here - lets you down
Remember that after finishing GTA V I thought that I've never seen a sandbox game where you felt such attention to details - don't remember even 2 identical missions there. Watch Dogs, however, is pure copy-paste. Gets awfully boring pretty-quickly. I'm around 12 hours into the game and don't see any improvements in variety. Another big problem is so-called car handling - feels like you are riding a piano on lard. No need to comment on the facts that all cars feel the same (small city car is almost as fast as a supercar) and boats are faster than police helicopters. And, lastly, characters are really blend - you don't feel any sympathy for anyone there. All in all the game is OK until something else of the same type is released. Sure there are a few cool things (police lose you when you swim away from them, hacking, funny privacy invasion task etc.), but the game feels like the developers promised too much for us and themselves (I pre-ordered it a long time ago - thanks Zavvi for being so quick with delivery once it was released). Hopefully, other pre-orders (Far Cry 4, new Batman etc.) won't let down. I will finish Watch Dogs still, but have doubts the proces swill be enjoyable...

Great game.
I am loving Watchdogs it's full of monogrammed and other challenges apart from the main story. Online hacking is also great fun. For me this is the best game I have played for ages.

Watch Dogs PS4
Despite borrowing from other well know games Watch Dogs still manages to give a fresh next gen gaming experience. You are given an open world with so much going on you can be forgiven for sidelining your main mission in favour of exploration and building up your reputation and resources.

Awesome game!
What a game, all of the hype and advertising and this game has not disappointed! One of the key factors in enjoying this game so much is that it they seem to have mashed a couple of games together, the best description is GTA mixed with meets Infamous but with hacking abilities rather that super powers. This game offers a wide experience from listening in on the everyday phone call (some not so every day phone calls) to manipulating the environment to escape the police e.g. traffic lights and ram barriers, which you get to see the resulting smashes in a bullet time scenario! I haven't progressed to far through the campaign yet but the map is huge and the game appears to have a large numbers of collectibles and side mission so any trophy hunters this will probable take a while. Would definitely recommend this game, plus as an added bonus if you buy this on the PS4 you get extra free missions as a DLC.
