Life is going nowhere for Shaun. He spends his life in his local pub, The Winchester, with his best mate Ed, has issues with his Mum and neglects his girlfriend Liz.
When Liz dumps him, Shaun finally decides to get his life in order. He must win back the heart of his girlfriend, repair his relationship, with his mum and face up to the responsibilities of adulthood.
Unfortunately, THE DEAD are returning to life and attempting to eat the living. For the newly inspired Shaun, this is just another obstacle. In the face of a full scale ZOMBIE EPIDEMIC, armed with a cricket bat and spade, Shaun sets out with Ed in tow, to rescue his mum and grudgingly his step-dad, his girlfriend and even more grudgingly her friends David and Dianne and take them to the safest most secure place he knows, The Winchester.

Shaun of the Dead
Firstly a quick word of thank to Sendit.com for the unbelievable speed and service leading up to Christmas, particularly when the order was only placed days before the last posting date. Secondly, it is a rare event that a DVD is purchased after being viewed at the cinema or TV and this is an indication of how impressed one was by the film. This is one of the best laugh-out-loud funny, British made films of recent years. With its classic UK cast which includes Bill Nighy and Dylan Moran, the unmissable duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are excellent as the two friends duelling there way through a zombie infested U.K. This a definite must-see movie, and is only surpassed when the duo meet again in Hot Fuzz. Unlike other films of this genre, at no time do you find your mind wandering or feel your eyes glazing over. As the plot and action consistently hold your attention and hopefully leave you, like me, wishing that the scenes, where they are holed up in the Winchester pub, are not going to end, as that will signal the closing scenes. This DVD has been and will be watched by our whole family for years to come.
