After over a quarter of a century it still packs a punch
This series was and is ahead of its time. Made at time when cop shows were usually fluffy fodder like Magnum PI, Simon and Simon, etc., Miami Vice was the first use a very raw and realistic approach. The shows were violent, used a lot of popular music at the time and stylishly executed. Produced by Michael Mann (Heat), the series ran from 1984 to 1989 put Don Johnson on the map. Who can forget the rolled up Armani suits, the mullets and the slip on shoes minus socks. Yes, the styles may have aged but this series is still as raw today as it was back in the mid 80s. Yes, you're continuously reminded of the time it was made by 80s pop music but Miami Vice still holds up, intense and as gritty as ever. The box set is a fantastic addition to anyones shelf even if only for the collectibility and the super cool boxset.

Bought this for my partner birthday and I was quite dissapointed to find out that only season 1 comes with english subtitles. We will have to download the subtittles from the internet. Cheap complete collection.

I love these, they're an awesome box set and a classic TV show. I am slowly working my way through and can't wait to watch the next lot!
